Success - make it your only choice for 2013!

How many lessons has life brought your way in 2012 to make you great, to show you the way to your calling in life but you missed them?
Often it seems that these lessons or opportunities are disguised as obstacles, hard times, difficulties, etc. It's all a matter of perception because in each of these "struggles" lies something that will make us great. If we dare not give up! because it is in these times that I believe that those who fight will see success beyond their wildest imaginations.

Have you picked out the successes you want in 2013? do it now, pick 10 things you want to happen and then EXPECT them to happen. Take action every single day towards those things.
Do not let anything or anyone steal from you what is rightfully yours. GO OUT AND GET IT! it's already yours.

Do these things that you chose excite you? if not, then they are too small. They must be bigger than you. Think about them, write about them, get a clear detailed picture of them in you mind.

Remember that if you are not creating your future then you are letting others create it for you. Don't live to say "i could have" live to say "I DID".

No one is going to give it to you, go out and get it. MAKE 2013 YOUR BEST YEAR POSSIBLE!

There are very few things that rattle me and I'm having problems processing this incident. My heart is broken and I don't know what you would say to a parent who dropped their child off at school saying good bye to them for the last time.
While people search for motives I want to create solutions. So far schools have been good at dealing with active shooter scenarios. Teachers and students have been trained to look for tell tale signs of when a student might become homicidal.
But when an adult shooter comes in from the outside and begins shooting, this is nearly impossible to prepare for let alone comprehend. we need to have something in place to stop this.
That's why the time has come to put armed police officers in our schools. We have fire extinguishers every few feet and I can't remember the last time a school fire took a child's life. Why not position an officer at specific entrance ways and install alarmed fire doors to prevent someone from inside the school opening a door and letting someone else enter the school.
While we vote for school budgets and talk about the curriculum, we need to have a plan of action regarding security.
