Hi everyone,

I spoke with Rio Rancho Aquatic Center again yesterday to see if we could start back up with the monthly adaptive kayaking events in January 2022. Unfortunately, they are still not allowing rentals on Saturday nights.

I will keep you all posted when we're able to start back up again. Everyone stay safe, and we miss you!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Have a blessed time of year.

Take care,

Jane, Crystal, Christine, Jeanette, and Loretta
Just an FYI - I just called the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center. They still have a shortage of life guards but hope to allow Saturday evening Adaptive Kayaking Open Houses starting in January 2022. It will depend upon their ability to hire enough life guards.

Many thanks to Zoe G Nance of Zoe Fitness! Zoe donated money to Kayak New Mexico after her last Open Water triathlon training swim at Heron Lake. Kayakers help out during her swims to make sure the swimmers are safe.

Thank you Zoe! Your donations are much appreciated and help us continue having free adaptive kayaking open houses!

This might be a fun activity. Online art classes today at noon.

Please share:

Due to school closures, I will be offering free art lessons on our page each weekday until our kiddos return to school. These will be family oriented for a range of ages and utilize supplies typically found in your home.

Creativity can ease stress, expedite learning & allow us to see circumstances in different ways. We will be offering take home kits from the studio for additional lessons beginning next Wednesday.
I always pull from my classical training as a BFA studio art major and 25 years as a professional artist, but also love to introduce process learning- In other words- I like to show you how to do it AND get messy!

Join us at 1pm CT this Monday for our first lesson!
Hint: For Monday, gather plain paper, a baking sheet, cooking spray/oil and pencils...we will be drawing faces!
