Caleb 5th. Dillon 12th. Dillon looked really good and turned some solid laps, says he had fun and learned alot!

Just a childhood dream of a boy and a girl wanting to own their own sprint car and making it happen
Operating as usual
Getting ready to push out now.

Dillon finished 7th in the heat. He looked great for being his first completed race in a wing car! Pretty big mental curve ball to go from non-wing to wing. Will be rolling out 7th row outside in the main!

Wing 305 line up. Both Caleb and Dillon are in Heat 2. Wing cars will be the last heats and the last main tonight.
No clue on finish, it was super dusty and windy. And I was holding a trying to fall asleep baby. When they post a finish I'll try to post it.

Dillon stepped on him self on a VERY dry track racing for the lead. Came back strong four in the fluff for an extremely close 4th at the line.

Racing Non-wing in Aztec tonight. Heat line ups for tonight.
Looks like we have been given the opportunity to take the top off! Let's go racing!
Big thanks to David Burns and his team; Stephen Nix , Clyde Hill , Randy and Terra Bushee, and Caleb Saiz. We can not thank this group enough for allowing us on board as we look to build this season and learn as much as possible!

Steve and Kash talking about life.... and lights.

Tried something new for the first time this weekend. Raced a Wing 305 for a close friend and a great team! We didn't have the finish that we wanted due to some fuel issues but we think we found the culprit and we will get it taken care of! Definitely something new for our little team of three to throw a wing on it and go racing but we had a blast, we've already learned so much, and very few bumps on our heads from the wing!
We can't thank David Burns enough for taking the 3 of us on, having a fiery red headed little boy in the pits isn't easy. Steve, and Clyd are always a plethora of knowledge and so willing to share! Randy and Terra bounce back and forth between both cars with such grace. Caleb and Amira admire Kash so much. This whole team makes it easy to be apart of! Gotta give a shout out to Caleb for putting on a show and putting down some solid laps, definitely taking notes! This weekend set a good vibe for the rest of the season!
Lining up

A main line up. Both starting row 8
Dillon pulled in coming down for the checkered. Only info I have right now.
Heat 1 about to go green.

Wheel packing and hot laps now. Dillon will start front ow outside heat 1. Caleb will start 5th row inside heat 2.
Vroom vroom!
On tonight's episode of "Kash goes to the shop", we are working on race car noises and wheel control. Every time I would record, he would get shy. Before and after this, this kid was straight wheeling this thing. Pretty sure he is thinking he is taking my job! One day son, one day.
.
Kash Baby in a "Maytag". We are so grateful for this team, the memories that are being made, and the fun to be had!

We have been busy this winter! With traditional sprints cars not racing much this year, we have been welcomed by David Burns and his team; Stephen Nix , Clyde Hill , Randy and Terra Bushee, and Caleb Saiz. We can not thank this group enough for allowing us on board as we look to build this season and learn as much as possible. We will focus on the POWRI 360 Wing Sprint Car Desert Series while picking up some 305 Wing races and possibly some NMMRA non-wing races between. This message has been approved by Kash Louis. See every one at the track!

Performance plus always putting out top quality work! Just look at this beauty

Pretty awesome seeing our dude Caleb Stelzigs name up them with straight TALENT and putting it in the show at the Hockett! Now go out there have fun, learn, and roll it in the box!

BACK ON TRACK: Dillon Tanner Partners with Hal Burns Racing for Series Return – New Mexico Motorsports Report
BACK ON TRACK: Dillon Tanner Partners with Hal Burns Racing for Series Return – New Mexico Motorsports Report Santa Fe, NM – August 27, 2021 – Dillon Tanner and Hal Burns Racing announced on Friday a partnership that will allow the Rio Rancho, New Mexico driver to return to Lucas Oil POWRi NMMRA Sprint Car Series competition starting Saturday, August 28th, for the Truman West Memorial Race at Sandia Spe...

August 28th holds a special place in our hearts, Truman's Birthday, as a team we hung up the steering wheel for the season..
BUT..
Dillon has been asked to drive the 41 J&J Chassis, Hal Burns Trucking and Equipment, Napa Belts and Hoses this Saturday night to be apart of the special night!
We can't thank David and the entire crew for allowing the 3 of us to have the opportunity to race!
Truman helped open so many doors for us as a race team and a family and he continues to do so, David being a best friend of his knows how much Truman would want "Dilly" in a car.

Kash Louis gets the last view of Dixieland Delight/Red October as we take her to a new home. Bittersweet moment for our small team. This car showed us that as a husband and wife we could make it happen. To say it hasn't been a struggle since 2017 would be a lie but for the most part it has been a BLAST. We have grown tremendously as a team both on and off the track! We are excitingly working out plans and crunching numbers for the 2022 season. We already have some big changes in store! And the 2022 season couldn't get here any sooner!
Last night we got asked, "Are you guys selling out because you had a baby?" We followed with "GOD NO"
Sure, things have changed and will continue to change BUT it has never been our intention nor will it ever be to raise Kash anywhere else but in the garage helping on a racecar or at the race track playing in the dirt.
That being said, is it 2022 yet!?
Season Update:
As many of you already know we are ending the 2021 season fo us. We have sold the chassis and we are going to regroup for the 2022 season. We plan on getting a new chassis and hopefully coming back stronger, more competitive, and able to complete an entire season (which we have yet to do as a team). Racing means the world to us and we have always dreamed of raising our son in the garage and at the track, but we race on a RIDICULOUSLY small budget so we do what we can until that runs out and love every moment if it.
HUGE THANKS:: Wrenches by Wayne, Performance Plus Engines, Car Crafters, Bert's Body Works, SEH Motorsports, Harris 3y³, and Tim Palmer
We will be back. 😉
Decent night of racing for Dillon and Tracy . Dillon finished 6th in the main. Tracy also finished 6th in the main. Dillon found a powersteering o-ring that had gone bad before the heat and with no way to replace it, decided to tape a rag around it and hung on tight for the night. Tracy's chassis has some major quirks and he is trying to figure out if he can make it work. All in all, both of them were just one spot out of a top 5 finish while having issues. Both rolled in the trailer and have 2 weeks to straighten things out.

It's RACE DAY! After about a 15 year retirement, someone special is making his return on Father's day weekend! Tracy Harris will be rolling around Sandia Speedway tonight in his Performance Plus 360, SEH Motorsports, Grammys Kitchen #33 A-Mod! Both Dillon and Tracy will be racing tonight, looks like Skye and Kash will be BUSY! After tonight, Kash will be lucky enough to say he has seen both of his Grandpas race!

Looking through memories today.
3 years ago we had the worst crash of our career. Dillon flipped off the track in Las Cruces for about 165 feet, you can tell by the picture it was hard and we got every corner of the car! Like to just send out an appreciation post to Joe Devin at DRC, because he makes such an amazing car, Dillon walked away untouched! And a fun fact about our team, We have only ever owned ONE chassis and are STILL racing this same one! DRC does amazing work building cars and repairing cars! Proud to be apart of the DRC Family!
Also, so glad this season we were finally able to upgrade our rear end (we were still racing on the one in this picture too) and our trailer (no more jack!)
We race on the absolute smallest race budget, to be able to have the things we do and race like we do, really is a dream come true! We do it because of the love and passion we both have in this sport!

Getting geared up for this weekends return to Sandia Speedway in Albuquerque. After a fun weekend in Vado last weekend, our short week keeps getting shorter and we are getting more excited to get back to the track! Thank you Performance Plus INC. for all the continued support this season as we get our bearings back. Made some big strides in Vado and look forward to continuing that back home! Also, Thank you Car Crafters, DRC chassis, Tim Palmer Graphic Design, Bert's Body Works, Harris 3y³, and SEH Motorsports! Hope to see every one at the track this Saturday night.

Tonight's 11th place finish does not show how much fun Dillon had, how great Dillon looked, or how hard he raced with some of our favorite drivers! Other than the crazy weather, we had such a great night of racing and hanging out with friends and family! Just glad we are having fun! We even picked up a new mud scrapper!

Dillon will start 3rd outside of Heat 1.
Wow. We were busy yesterday. We'd like to start by congratulating Caleb Stelzig in his first win, 6 races into his rookie year kid is showing the vets how its done!
Saturday started out getting to the track and just before 5 the rain came but made for a bad fast track in the heat. We started on the pole of our heat got out front and kept the lead for all 8 laps. Going into the main with high hopes and starting 2nd row inside we thought for sure we could be up there battling for the lead. They dropped the green and we went back in a hurry but we were able to hang on to a 7th place finish. Dillon got out of the car and said the brakes got so hot he could feel it through his seat. Fast forward to Sunday we had 2 pucks that were stuck on the rear caliper. We got it fixed and are getting ready to head South to Vado Speedway this weekend!

Dillon won his heat and will start 2nd row inside for the main.

Dillon starts pole of Heat 2

Any guesses why Kash has such a big smile?
TOMORROW IS RACE DAY!

Kashs Nana bought him a new chair for the races! He loves it! He'll be able to use it at our next race, June 5th at Sandia Speedway!

We made a new fan last night. We love all of our fans, but there is something special when it is the younger generation. Thank you Ronnie Tanner for bringing your niece and nephews out to the races. We look forward to seeing them at the races again!

Weird night. We finished 6th.

Dillon finished 6th. Got spooked in hotlaps by a hole. Starting 6th row inside.

Dillon will start 3rd row inside of heat 1
