Week 8 is in the books! ☀️🏒⛳⚾

What an incredible week at Rinks & Links!

Our biggest adventure was our trip to the Minnesota Twins game, and what a game it turned out to be! We were making our way down to the main level to head back to the buses when the Twins hit a walk off grand slam! We were still inside Target Field, so we're counting it! 😂 The excitement and cheers throughout the stadium made it an unforgettable experience for all of us.

Back at camp, Coach Erik kept the campers working hard on the ice with another couple of awesome hockey sessions. We also spent plenty of time golfing in The Yard, continuing to work on everyone's golf game.

Professor Tukey was back this week with another fan favorite science experiment. Campers built their own marshmallow catapults and put them to the test in a fun launching competition. Congratulations to Gordie, who claimed the championship with an impressive shot! 🚀🍡🏆

It's hard to believe we're already wrapping up Week 8 and are almost finished with Week 9. Summer always seems to fly by, and we can't believe it's already August! We're looking forward to making the most of these final few weeks with more hockey, golf, science, field trips, and memories to finish off an amazing summer.

☀️ Week 7 is in the books! ☀️

What a great week it was at Rinks & Links! After a stretch of heat, the weather finally cooperated, and we took full advantage of it.

⛳ We made another trip out to Pinewood Golf Course, where campers continued to improve their golf games while enjoying some beautiful summer weather. We also spent plenty of time outside playing games, staying active, and making the most of being outdoors.

🚀 Science was another huge hit this week! We finally had the perfect weather to launch our rocket, and it did not disappoint! The campers had an absolute blast watching it soar into the sky. They also put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building noodle towers, and we were amazed to see the winning tower stand an incredible 37 inches tall!

🏒 Coach Erik kept the campers busy on the ice this week, adding a little extra skating and skill work to help get everyone ready for the upcoming hockey season. It's been awesome watching the confidence and improvement from Week 1 to now.

Whether it was making putts, launching rockets, building towers, or sharpening hockey skills, Week 7 was packed with learning, laughs, and unforgettable memories.

As we head into the final stretch of summer, we can't thank our campers, families, coaches, and community enough for making Rinks & Links such a special place. We're excited for everything still to come and can't wait to see what the next few weeks have in store!

☀️ Week 6 Recap | Rinks & Links 2.0 ☀️

We are officially past the halfway point of another incredible summer at Rinks & Links! Sorry this recap is a little delayed, but last week was a HOT one, and we've been having too much fun to slow down!

With the heat, we got to spend plenty of time enjoying The Yard, keeping campers active while staying cool. One of the highlights of the week was our trip to St. Michael Cinema to see Minions & Monsters. The campers had an awesome time, and it was the perfect way to beat the heat!

🫧 Science with Professor Tukey had everyone putting their creativity to work as campers built their own homemade bubble machines. There were bubbles everywhere and plenty of smiles to go with them!

🏒 Thursday was another unforgettable day as our campers headed over to cheer on the Elk River Elks Varsity Hockey Team during their summer scrimmage against Buffalo. Our campers absolutely brought the energy! It was especially awesome to see campers from all of the different hockey associations we have represented at Rinks & Links come together as one big team to cheer on the Elks. The players, coaches, and fans loved having such a loud and enthusiastic cheering section, and it was a great reminder of what makes this camp so special. At Rinks & Links, it doesn't matter what jersey you wear during the winter. During the summer, we're all on the same team.

Most importantly, the campers continue to make this summer special. Their energy, laughter, positive attitudes, and willingness to try new things are what make Rinks & Links such a fun place to be every day.

We're already rolling through another great week, and that recap will be coming soon!

Six weeks down... six more to go! Let's keep bringing the energy, making memories, and making the second half of the summer even better than the first! 💙💚🏒⛳️

Week 5 Recap! ☀️🏒⛳

Sorry we're a little late on the Week 5 recap... but what a week it was!

💥 We kicked things off at Grand Slam with laser tag, Valo Arena, mini golf, batting cages, arcade games, and tons of fun!

⛳ We also made our first trip to Pinewood Golf Course of the summer, and the campers absolutely loved it. We can't wait to get back out there!

🪂 Professor Tukey had everyone building homemade parachutes while learning about gravity and inertia, and there were some awesome designs taking flight.

We wrapped up the week with hockey, outdoor games before the heat rolled in, and a walk over to Lions Park.

Now we're rolling into Week 6, which means we're almost at the halfway point of another incredible summer! Time is flying, and we're excited for everything still to come. 💙💛

We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing holiday weekend with family, friends, and plenty of great memories!

Now that we're back, it's time to look back at an incredible Week 4 at Rinks & Links!

🦒 We kicked off the week with an awesome trip to the Minnesota Zoo, where campers got to explore and see some amazing animals.

🏒 We crowned the first-ever Rinks & Links Knee Hockey Champions! The competition was fierce, and the energy was off the charts!

🧪 Professor Tukey returned to teach campers all about chemistry, and everyone got to make homemade ice cream in a bag. Science has never tasted so good! 🍦

⛳ With the heat and humidity sticking around all week, we stayed cool inside The Yard, turning the batting cages into golf stations for some chipping practice.

It was a hot week, but an even better one! Thank you to all of our campers, coaches, and families for making another week full of smiles, laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories. We can't wait to see what Week 5 has in store!

🏒⛳🦅 Week 3 of Rinks & Links 2.0 is in the books! 🦅⛳🏒

Another awesome week is in the books, and it may have been our busiest one yet! ☀️

The campers enjoyed plenty of time outside, another great week on the ice sharpening their hockey skills 🏒, and another beautiful day at Elk River Golf Club working on their golf games. ⛳

🚀 Professor Tukey was back this week, and things got explosive... literally! The campers learned all about rockets before building and launching their very own film canister rockets! There were lots of laughs, countdowns, and a few rockets that caught everyone by surprise! 😂💥

Want to make one at home? It's easy!

🚀 All you need is:
🧪 A film canister
✂️ Some paper to make rocket fins
💊 1/4 of an Alka-Seltzer tablet
💧 Just enough water to cover the Alka-Seltzer

Mix it together, snap the lid on, set it upside down, step back... and get ready for liftoff! 🚀💨 (Trust us... you don't want to be standing over it! 😂)

🦅 The highlight of the week was welcoming the University of Minnesota Raptor Center to camp for our in-house field trip! The campers got an up close look at a falcon, red-tailed hawk, great horned owl, and even a 17-year-old bald eagle! 🤯 The presenters did an incredible job, and the campers were completely locked in from start to finish. It was an unforgettable experience!

A huge thank you to the University of Minnesota Raptor Center for spending the afternoon with us and sharing these incredible birds while teaching our campers about wildlife and conservation. ❤️

Three weeks down and we're having an absolute blast! Thank you to all of our amazing campers, families, coaches, and partners for making Rinks & Links 2.0 such an incredible summer.

We can't wait to see what Week 4 has in store! 😎☀️

🏒⛳ Happy Father's Day from Rinks & Links! ⛳🏒

Today we celebrate all of the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures who spend countless hours driving to practices, tying skates, carrying golf bags, cheering from the sidelines, and supporting their kids every step of the way.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lessons you teach, and the memories you create. The impact you have goes far beyond the rink and the golf course.

We hope you have an amazing day surrounded by family, laughter, and maybe even a little hockey or golf!

🔬🧪 Week 2 Recap: Science Week! 🧪🔬

Another awesome week of Rinks & Links 2.0 is in the books!

This week was all about science as we headed to the Minnesota Science Museum, one of our campers' favorite field trips every summer. We explored the museum, checked out all the amazing exhibits, and watched an incredible volcano movie in the Omnitheater. 🌋

Back at camp, Professor Tukey had the campers building and racing balloon-powered cars, which led to plenty of learning, creativity, and laughs along the way. 🎈🚗

We also had perfect weather on Thursday to get out to Elk River Golf Club and enjoy some time on the course. We had so much fun that we only managed to take one photo all day! 📸😂 We'll work on that next week.

Of course, hockey was back in full swing as Coach Erik, Coach Anna, and the rest of our coaching staff continued helping campers build skills, confidence, and friendships on the ice. 🏒

Thank you to all of our campers and families for another fantastic week. We can't believe we're already heading into Week 3!

🎉☀️ HAPPY FRIDAY! ☀️🎉

Just like that, Week One of Rinks & Links 2.0 is in the books! 🏒⛳️

What an incredible way to kick off Summer 2026. Over the last five days we've made new friends, created lasting memories, shared countless laughs, and watched our campers dive headfirst into everything camp has to offer.

This week was packed with action! From lacing up the skates with Coach Erik and Coach Anna, to spending hours in The Yard playing games and staying active, to our first field trip of the summer at Ninjas United, there was never a dull moment. We even squeezed in some fun and learning with Professor Tukey, and the campers absolutely loved it!

The best part of the week wasn't the hockey, golf, field trips, or activities. It was seeing the smiles, confidence, friendships, and excitement that filled camp each and every day.

A huge thank you goes out to our amazing campers for bringing the energy, our families for trusting us with your kids, and our incredible coaching staff who work so hard to make every day special.

If Week One is any indication of what's ahead, we're in for one amazing summer. We still have weeks of hockey, golf, science, field trips, games, adventures, and memories waiting to be made!

Enjoy the weekend, get some rest, and we'll see everyone back on Monday for another awesome week at Rinks & Links! 💙
