I enjoy working on vintage old bikes. Here is one I have been working on and is for sale. I think it is 1987 Miyata 100 “Mixte” (not sure on specific year). I have restored it from rough condition, have cleaned it from one end to the other, given a full tune up, all components and gears are working, new tires and tubes, includes bike rack, new seat, unique frame with step through. Great commuter bike.

The term “Mixte” is pronounced “Meeext” actually means unisex. Mixte bicycles were popular in the 80s and are easy to identify by their double sloping top tube (strong but light). Unfortunately because of these sloping top tubes, they were never able to shake their “women’s bike” association. This is a real shame, because step-through frames are amazing for everyone. It is a great bike for carrying large cargo in the rear. $175.

A neighbor of ours is selling a very nice Specialized Pitch - size SMALL. It has only been ridden once and in perfect shape. Paid $700 for it but selling it for $500.
