Fall 🍂🍁

Hands down my favorite time to hike. Less bugs, cool air, no snow. Disagree? Change my mind!

Spring showers mean the best views of these waterfalls!

Things in the shop have looked very different for the past few months!👩‍🍼

We welcomed a baby to the family in November and have been getting used to life with more naps and a bit less time for anything else.

If you stopped by the shop around the holiday season and found it closed or limited in stock, please know I appreciate that you stopped by! The holidays are always hectic and I wasn’t able to keep up with orders like I usually would that time of the year.

All that said, thank you so much for your patience and kind words from those of you who reached out for custom projects and I wasn’t able to take on at the time. The shop is open now and I’m starting to get back into the usual swing of things ❤️

Story time about my first time hiking in Vermont 🥾

A couple years ago we did our annual big ADK hike (the Algonquin, Wright, Iroquois loop) and afterward continued on to Vermont for apples and everything maple syrup.

The Algonquin loop was great but we were definitely tired after the hike.

We arrived in Vermont a day or two later with big plans to do some hiking there as well. No high peaks, just some more moderate hikes.

We picked this beautiful trail (Rattlesnake Cliff) and set off.

I’m sure some of you can relate to wanting to do something so badly but feeling like your body is about to collapse into mush?

And like…It’s especially unfortunate when you’re well into the hike, wishing there was a slide, a zip line, literally anything to avoid walking.

The view on the cliffs was well worth it of course, but I still remember getting back to the car and wishing for some better decision making!

Normally I’d say the moral of the story is that we learned our lesson, but we did the Dix loop this year so maybe we just like pain 😂
