WNY Wreckers

Your WNY Wreckers sent a small team to the Quadzillas tournament in Ontario, CA this past weekend!

We won our first two games, earning a first round bye and although we lost a tough game against Ottowa, we went on to win our last game against the host team and take 3rd place overall in the tournament!

It's always a good time when we go to Belleville and it's great to see old friends across the border and make new ones.

The level of play is fantastic, with more than one former player for team Canada in the tournament (the current ones were away in Japan, playing for Canada!).

Thanks to all who participated and to our hosts and to all of our fans for your ongoing support!

When we do a fundraiser later this year and ask you for money, it's because we do this to our equipment and that to our players.

"Internationally known"? "World famous"? Yup, those work. Two of the (best looking) Wreckers have been featured in the Trenton, ON Quadzilla's latest recruitment poster!

The Wreckers had a blast at the Steel City Slam this past weekend!

We had our strongest tournament performance ever, going 3-2 and taking 3rd place overall in the tournament!

Tournament season is underway!

Your WNY Wreckers are off to the 22nd annual Steel City Slam in Pittsburgh!

We've got a full slate of 5 games over the next two days!

We are READY TO WRECK! wish us luck as we rematch several of the teams that we hosted last month as well as the teams from Philadelphia and Ohio.

It's gonna be a great weekend of rugby!

The 2025 Wrecking Ball was a huge success! Congratulations to the Northeast Passage Wildcats on taking home the trophy (well, we didn't actually let them take it home, but we will record their names on it, Stanley Cup style, because we are keeping this one around - it's awesome. Your WNY Wreckers went 3 and 2, winning our last game of the tournament, against Pittsburgh, by 1 point! It was awesome!

Thanks to all of our fans, families, supporters, volunteers, and sponsors, for helping to make this tournament a resounding success! We couldn't have done it without all of you! Thanks also to the refs and the other teams for travelling in to come play ball with us here in Rochester!

Now, less than 4 weeks until we travel to Pittsburgh for The Steel City Slam, where the hosts will certainly be looking to take the revenge on the Wreckers.

There is exactly 1 full-contact wheelchair sport and this is it! When we say full-contact, we mean it - think kill the carrier in Mad Max style wheelchairs. It's awesome and needs o be seen in person to be believed!
