Lilac Festival 💜🌸💜 The colorway that started the entire collection. Lilac Festival features soft shades of lilac purple and light blue paired with bright pops of violet, periwinkle and pale pink speckles. This colorway was named for the city of Rochester’s famed Lilac Festival that celebrates the history of our flower city.

Today (Sunday) is the last day of the Lilac Festival, and the last day to reserve your pre-order! I know that not everyone likes to wait for their yarn. Poet's Garden 🌸💜 Located in a quiet corner across from the Lamberton Conservatory, The Poet’s Garden was established by The Rochester Garden Club in 1916 to honor William Shakespeare on the 300th anniversary of his death. This soft yet vibrantly floral colorway is meant to pair romance and whimsy with timeless color.

Highland Park 🌸💜 Named after one of my favorite places in Rochester, NY. Highland Park is home to an incredible collection of gardens including the largest lilac grove in the Unites States and depending on the source, perhaps the world. It's also home of the annual Lilac Festival every May. The park was designed by Federick Law Olmsted, who received fame for designing New York City's Central Park and is a true city treasure.

In previous years, I have been able to take some beautiful photos of the Lilac Festival collection with the lilacs. 🌸 This year our spring has been a bit too chilly for lilacs to be ready in time for the festival opener so here is the yarn just as it is. No fancy flatlays, just stunning speckles.
