Two of Rochester’s best took on the national stage this week. 👏

Congratulations to 2025 RDGA Match Play Champion Philip Minnehan and 2025 RDGA District Champion Aiden Spampinato on qualifying for the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Philip and Aiden battled all the way to 20 holes in the Round of 32 before falling 1-down Monday to Torey Edwards and Bret Parker.

An incredible accomplishment representing the RDGA and Rochester golf on one of amateur golf’s biggest stages. ⛳️

U.S. Open Local Qualifying at Greystone delivered a true test on Monday. 🌬️⛳

With temperatures in the 50s and winds gusting over 20 MPH, scoring conditions were some of the toughest seen in recent memory. The field scoring average climbed to 81.4, with medalist honors earned at just 2-under par.

Only a handful of players punched their ticket through one of golf’s ultimate grind-it-out days.

The road to the U.S. Open isn’t supposed to be easy. 🇺🇸
