Team Wittkamp BMX is a father and son team. Brian and Matthew Wittkamp from Denver, NC. Both riders are part of the YESS BMX Development Team for North Carolina.
Home track is Hornets Nest BMX in Charlotte, NC. Team Wittkamp Riders Matthew and Brian Wittkamp are father and son from NC. Father and son ride for the Carolina YESS BMX Development Team. Matthew currently competes as a 12 year old Expert and 12 year old Cruiser. Brian currently competes in the 41-45 Intermediate and Cruiser.

My father Uwe, turns 65 on tuesday, so we took him out for a birthday dinner tonight and cake back at the house with the family. Happy Birthday Dad!!

2019 District Cruiser Champ plate was delivered yesterday.
2019 was filled with ups and downs.
60 total cruiser races competed in 2019, 40 class races competed in, 4 nc state qualifiers, 3 sc state qualifiers, 1 nc state championship final, 1 sc state championship final, 3 Gold Cup Qualifiers, 1 Gold Cup Championship Finals, 1 Carolina National, almost countless locals between Hornets Nest Bmx, Tanglewood Bmx, and Rockhill Supercross Bmx. Over 3,000 miles covered in 10 months of racing.
Not to mention, 2 semi major injuries from competing at a top level, ACL tear, and a separated shoulder, along with scrapes and bruises.
Have to say competing with all the guys in the southeast to achieve this goal is gratifying with the time and effort put in. Here's to race #1 of 2020 when I'm ready to start this journey again. It will be time to aim higher.
