Fractal started P7, and despite still struggling with the line we had worked on before the race, the speed was definitely there.

He fought his way up to 4th and was closing in on 3rd when things got interesting.

During one of the battles, contact from another incident sent a kart into the rear of Fractal and turned him toward the inside. He hit the inside berm and went for one heck of a ride—completing a full 360 before gathering it back up and continuing.

Dad had already stopped recording and was headed toward the track. 😅 Meanwhile, Fractal drove away giving us a thumbs-up.

He regrouped and ultimately brought it home 5th.

Not the result we came for, but there was plenty of fight in the #3—and enough unanswered questions that we were back at the track at 8:00 the next morning to figure them out.

We started P2 in a stacked heat with four of the fastest Junior 2 drivers in the field.

Unfortunately, Dad may have over-coached this one. 😅 After repeatedly telling Fractal to stay off the berm and give himself some cushion at the apex, he interpreted that as needing to enter the corner later.

That put him turning in on the loose dirt and floating wide on exit, and we just couldn’t carry the speed we needed.

He battled through it but ultimately fell from P2 to P4.

The kart had speed—we just weren’t putting it where it needed to be.
