“Why do you have your horses heads so low?”

I teach them at a young age to travel with natural collection so they can build the muscle needed to carry a rider and by the time they’re under saddle, teaching them a cue for natural collection is the easy part.

I don’t nit-pick how low their head is in the beginning because once it’s time to have their carriage level with their withers, it’s easier to bring their carriage up than it is to bring their carriage down.
