Tread Softly/ J Randol horse training

Today we worked on upward transitions into the jog, then working trot and back down to a jog then a walk. He’s catching on quickly 😊

Oh you know, just walking my dog after playing in the hose after our workout 💪

Best training assistant ever!

May I introduce you to mister Gizmo, he’s 30 and has the run of the barn yard.

Theo has an issue with other horses he gets very excited so we’ve been working on it. We walk around everyday seeing everyone in their pens.

Often, Gizmo likes to lend a helping hand to get Theo desensitized to a random old man following us on our walks 😂

Old horses are such gems 💎

Theo enjoys being hosed off after our little rides because he knows afterwards we walk to my trailer to get an apple 🍎 snack for being the best boy 😊

I give him an apple away from the barn to promote his independence and confidence away from the barn. It’s a huge part of helping him to not become herd bound or barn sour as well as looking to me for anything he’s insecure about ♥️
