1/30/26 NEW WEATHER CLOSURE: Due to the extremely low temperature and the effect it is having on the field, the equipment, and the range balls, the Georgia Golf Center will be closed Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1st. We will be open for normal operation on Monday, February 2nd. Stay warm!

*Update* Georgia Golf Center will remain closed through Tuesday, January 27th. We will reopen at normal time on Wednesday, January 28th. Thank you for your patience during this extreme cold and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

Weather Closure: Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our customers and employees, Georgia Golf Center will be closed Sunday, January 25th and Monday January 26th. We will be monitoring the weather, but plan to be back to normal hours on Tuesday, January 27th. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!

On this date 31 years ago we opened the doors to Georgia Golf Center. It has been a wild and mostly wonderful ride.

It has been a privilege for us to serve the North Fulton Community for over three decades, and we are extremely grateful for the support we've received during those years. We're proud of the Golf Center that exists today, and hope to continue as a family run, and family oriented, facility for years to come.

Beginning Monday December 1st, we will be returning to our winter hours. We will be closing at 7pm each evening. We ask that all balls be hit by 7:15.

Georgia Golf Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day. We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.

**ATTENTION**
As part of our commitment to making the Georgia Golf Center the premier north Georgia golf range, we will be closing AUGUST 11-14 for facility and field maintenance and improvements. The putting green and short game area will also be closed on these days. Thank you for your patience while we complete this much needed maintenance and we look forward to seeing everyone back at the range on Friday the 15th!

On Friday July 4th, we will be closing at 7:00pm. We hope everyone has a safe 4th!

WEATHER UPDATE
We have been monitoring the weather situation and for the safety of our employees and patrons:

Georgia Golf Center will be closed Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th.

We will reopen normal hours Sunday, January 12th, unless weather issues persist. Thanks for your understanding and stay safe!

Effective Monday December 9th, GGC will begin closing at 7:00 pm for the winter season.

As part of our ongoing improvements, come by and see the renovated cover and heated tee line. New walls and windows have replaced the old wind screens.

Thirty years ago today, December 1st, 1994, fellow PGA Member Chris Asbell and I were the principals in a small group that purchased North Fulton Golf Center, which was renamed Georgia Golf Center. Our goal was to provide the finest golf instruction, club fitting and practice facility in our area. Three decades later that is still the goal.

When we purchased the range the trees down the left side were about four feet high and we could see the cows in the neighboring field. The large house to our right was a horse farm. Both the Kroger and the McDonalds had yet to be built. And Rucker Road ended at a vacant lot just short of Highway 9. Yes, it was THAT long ago!

It has not always been easy, but over the years we have done our best to make improvements in the facility to enhance the experience for our patrons. This year's major upgrade was the new and enlarged putting green. Plans are in the works for some more upgrades next year.

Thank you to all of our friends and customers who have been part of this journey. We sincerely appreciate the loyalty and friendship so many of you have shown us over the years.

And thank you as well, to our many employees. It's impossible to name all of them. But I think it's appropriate to mention the first two, Bill Beers and George Lidell. And of course, Wanda Thomas and Dick Grady. And definitely Jake D’Ambrosca, who worked for us until he turned 93! We wouldn't have made it through the early years without their dedication.
