The Brazos Valley Hurricanes Baseball Club is the longest running Baseball Club in the Bryan/College Station area. The Club was started in 1998 by Tony Ace
The Club was started in 1998 by Tony Ace Gongora and has helped 100's of kids to not only become good baseball players but to also become great young adults. Tony started the first team to help kids stay out of trouble by keeping them off the streets. He wanted to get the kids to enjoy playing baseball so much they would want to play baseball at the High school level and they would keep the grades
good enough to graduate high school because at the time lots of kids were droping out of school. All the kids on his first team all ended up graduating high school and some even played baseball at the college level. He was so pleased with the turn out he vowed to make it affordable for more kids to be able to play at a competiitive level at a low price because alot of the other clubs were charging to much money to play travel ball. The second team he started consisted of 7 and 8 year olds and ended up producing 11 college baseball players. With teams at 4 different age levels the Hurricanes have won or been Runner-up in over a 150 tournaments. Some of the most meaningful tournaments the Hurricanes have won or been Runner-up in are as follows.
