🎒 Back-to-School Conversations | Week 2

Big emotions can be hard to navigate—for children and the adults supporting them. 💛

This week, Meagan and I are talking about what it really means to support a child through overwhelm: validating feelings while holding boundaries, using regulation tools when words aren’t working, and creating calm spaces that feel supportive—not punitive.

đŸŽ„ Take a few minutes to listen to the conversation and share with a parent, caregiver, or educator who may need this reminder.

Feelings are always okay. Not every behavior is—and children can learn the difference with our support.

🎒 Back-to-School Conversations | Week 1

Back-to-school season can bring excitement—but also anxiety, uncertainty, big emotions, and overwhelm for children and the adults supporting them.

In our first conversation, Meagan Rizzo-Bosca, LLPC, and I talk about back-to-school anxiety, what it can look like, what may be underneath the behavior, and how adults can respond with greater understanding and intention.

đŸŽ„ Take 16 minutes and join the conversation.

Because sometimes the behavior we’re trying to change is actually a feeling asking to be understood. 💛

Follow along throughout September for more Back-to-School Conversations!

Anxiety doesn’t always look like panic.

Sometimes it looks like overthinking every conversation. Feeling on edge. Struggling to relax. Expecting something to go wrong—even when everything seems okay.

It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected, or like your mind just won’t slow down.

Your anxiety deserves support. 💚
Sabrina Hall, LLPC, therapist at Moss Therapy & Wellness, reminds us that you don’t have to wait until anxiety becomes unbearable to reach out for help.

Therapy can provide a safe space to better understand what you’re feeling, recognize your triggers, and develop tools to help you move forward.

Maybe it was never “too much.”

Maybe you were asking for love, consistency, support, understanding, effort, reciprocity, or simply to be considered—and you were asking in places that didn’t have the capacity to give it.

đŸ’ƒđŸœThis Feel Good Friday, let this be your reminder:

Not every unmet need means you need to need less.

Sometimes, it means you need to recognize where you’re asking to be filled.

And this is where I circle back to Christ.

Because He is omnipresent—present in every room, every season, every relationship, every disappointment, and every part of you that feels like “too much.”

The parts you don’t know how to explain.
The needs you’re afraid to voice.
The emotions you wish you could turn down.
The weight you’ve been carrying quietly.

He can hold all of it.

You don’t have to shrink yourself to fit into places that weren’t equipped to hold you.

You don’t have to convince yourself that your needs are unreasonable.

And you don’t have to carry your “too much” alone.

Maybe the reminder isn’t “I need less.”

Maybe it’s “I need to remember where I can bring all of me.” đŸ€

Happy Feel Good Friday.

You are not behind, you are becoming. đŸ€

Being a young adult may come with challenges, uncertainty, and moments of confusion. It’s okay if your journey doesn’t look like everyone else’s. There is no set timeline for becoming who you’re meant to be.

You are not alone. Give yourself grace, take a breath, and trust that your journey is unfolding in its own time. đŸŒ±

A gentle reminder from Meagan, LLMSW — a trusted clinician here at Moss Therapy & Wellness.

If you’re navigating a season of uncertainty, overwhelm, or simply need a safe space to talk, reach out to Moss Therapy & Wellness today to schedule an appointment. Your journey deserves support, too. đŸ€Ž
