Nature! It’s soooo healing ❤️🩹 Getting out in it every day lately since I gave up caffeine has helped me stay grounded and not slip back into old habits that have proven to throw me off my game.
It took a horrible bee sting on my hand - spiritual meaning, “wake up call”- to remind me. So today is day 6. Habits are hard to break. Going on auto pilot is a lot easier.
But remembering to love myself unconditionally has helped. To take care of this soul/ heart / body is my priority and my commitment.
Self-love is not something we learn in society … we learn it in therapy, in yoga classes and when we are learning hard and sometimes painful lessons in our lives.
The bee sting pushed me into panick mode because my body was out of my control. I swelled up, my hands and feet were on fire and I was afraid I would go into anaphylactic shock.
I tried using my yoga breathing, but my emotions took over. So I went to the hospital, got 2 cc of steroids, and it took five days for the redness and swelling to go down. What a wild ride!
I plan to get an EpiPen to take with me hiking and just to keep with me when grocery shopping because this is where I got stung, in the parking lot at Walmart in Franklin putting my groceries in my car.
We never know what’s coming next. But Yoga does help us to be prepared, to stay calm, and to love ourselves, no matter what!
