⚾🥎 WE WANT TO SEE YOUR PLAY OF THE WEEK! 🥎⚾

Every week we highlight players across baseball AND softball who are showing us what Royse City Diamond Sports is all about. 💙

This season we're looking for nominations that showcase:

⚾ OFFENSE — A great at-bat, solid contact, smart base running or a developing swing

🥎 DEFENSE — A great catch, strong throw, smart fielding play or making the right decision

💪 SKILL BUILDING — A player putting in the work and showing how their skills are developing

🧢 LEADERSHIP — Encouraging teammates, helping others, stepping up or setting the example

🤝 SPORTSMANSHIP — Showing respect, encouraging an opponent, helping a teammate or doing the right thing on the field

Play of the Week! 👏 Brody Grimes #22 | RC SOX | 6U 👏

Brody stepped up to the plate and made great contact with the pitcher, launching an elevated ball deep into center field! ⚾

That kind of contact is what we're looking for—a strong swing, solid bat-to-ball connection, and the ability to drive the ball into the outfield. 👏

Brody followed it up with some great hustle around the bases, putting together an impressive offensive play from start to finish! 💪

Keep working those fundamentals, Brody! We love watching those skills develop! ❤️

Play of the Week! 👏 Mateo Gonzalez #23 | Angels | Teeball 👏

Mateo stepped up to the tee and sent a solid hit all the way to the outfield! ⚾

Then came the hustle! Mateo kept those little legs moving and ran the bases with purpose, turning a great hit into a big offensive play.

We love seeing our youngest players build those fundamentals—making solid contact, watching where the ball goes, and hustling all the way around the bases! 💪

Keep swinging, keep hustling, and keep having fun out there, Mateo! 🌟

Play of the Week! 👏 Otis Spurgin #63 | Mariners | Teeball 👏

Otis stepped in to pitch during the final inning and showed some great baseball awareness and hustle! He stayed on top of the ball, made the play at home, and helped record two outs — including the final out of the game! ⚾

It was a great example of a young player learning to read the play, know where to go with the ball, and make the play when it matters. Those are the fundamentals that help build confident ballplayers! 💪

Keep learning, keep hustling, Otis! We love seeing those baseball skills develop! ⚾💙

Bently Glover is offering catching lessons from one of our own homegrown RC baseball players!

Bently has been part of RC baseball for many years and has always been a hardworking player with great energy and a passion for the game. He’s continued to develop his skills behind the plate, and I’m confident he’ll bring that same work ethic and positive attitude to every lesson.

If you’re looking to help your son or daughter become a better catcher, this is a great opportunity to learn from someone who has been in their shoes and knows what it takes to improve.

Skills Day gives players a chance to show off their current skills while helping us build balanced teams for an exciting fall season. It's not a tryout—just a fun opportunity to throw, hit, field, hustle, and get back on the diamond! 💙

If you tried to visit us on Friday, thanks for your patience! Our website is back up and running, and Fall 2026 Registration is in full swing.

⏰ Only ONE WEEK remains before regular registration ends and late fees begin!

Here's what's available this fall:

👶 Blast Ball: Ages 2-3
⚾ Teeball: Ages 4-5

⚾ Baseball Divisions:
6U • 7U • 8U • 9U • 10U • 12U • 14U • 16U

🔥 Select Baseball:
10U Select • 12U Select

🥎 Softball Divisions:
6U • 8U • 10U • 12U • 14U

🗓️ Regular Registration Ends: July 3
🗓️ Late Registration: July 4 – July 24

Season Highlights:
✅ Practices begin in August
✅ Games begin in September
✅ 8-game regular season
✅ End-of-season playoffs
✅ Season concludes in October/November
✅ You don't have to be a Royse City resident to play!

Our players are lucky to have dads and father figures who continue to help them grow, learn, and love the game.
