As our 2026 Russell County 10U Laker All Stars season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make our journey to the Ohio Valley Regionals possible. First, we want to thank each and every one of our amazing sponsors. Your generosity gave these boys the opportunity to represent Russell County on a regional stage, create lifelong memories, and experience something they’ll never forget. Your investment in our team and our community means more than words can express. We also want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Hot Dog Fundraiser. Whether you stopped by for lunch, shared our posts, volunteered your time, or simply helped spread the word, you played a huge part in helping us raise the funds needed for this trip. The support from our community was incredible, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you. We are blessed to live in a community that believes in its young athletes and continues to show up for them time and time again. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for believing in these boys. Because of your generosity and support, our players were able to chase their dreams, compete at the regional level, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Russell County truly has one of the most supportive communities around, and we are forever grateful. Thank you for being part of our journey. Once a Laker, always a Laker! ⚓️

What a journey it’s been! ❤️⚾️💙

Our 10U Laker All Stars wrapped up their Ohio Valley Regional tournament this weekend. On Friday, they fell to Campbellsville, 10-5, in pool play, and on Saturday, they battled hard against the Valpo Americans, coming up just short with another 10-5 finish. While our season ends here and we won’t be advancing to the World Series, these boys have so much to be proud of! They never stopped fighting, gave everything they had until the final out, and represented Russell County with heart, grit, and determination every step of the way. We couldn’t be prouder of how far this team has come. Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and everyone who cheered them on throughout this incredible season. Once a Laker, always a Laker. ⚓️

Tough first pool play game for our Lakers, falling to a very talented South Lexington team. While it wasn’t the result we wanted, these boys never stopped competing, and we’re proud of the fight they showed from start to finish.

This afternoon, we’re excited to cheer on one of our own as hometown baseball player Mayes Gosser takes the field with the Bombers. What a great opportunity for our boys to watch a local player competing at the next level and enjoy some great baseball together.

We’ll get some rest, learn from today’s game, and come back tomorrow ready to compete. Our next pool play game is Friday at 10:00 AM EST vs Campbellsville, and these boys will be ready to leave it all on the field.

Our 10U Russell County Lakers got an awesome surprise this morning from Coach Rex, our local high school baseball coach! He stopped by to spend some time with the boys, share some encouragement, and wish them luck before they took the field.

Moments like these mean so much. Having young athletes see the support of coaches who have been where they hope to be one day is something they’ll remember. Thank you, Coach Rex, for investing in our players and reminding them that hard work, character, and teamwork matter both on and off the field.

Now it’s time to compete. Let’s go, Lakers! ❤️💙⚾️
