We're proud to share that FAMon3 Sports has taken over Next Level Red Zone Flag Football at SoFive Sports Center in S**o. Same program you know, same indoor turf, same great football — now under the FAMon3 banner.

🏀 BIG NEWS FOR THUNDER & NLA BASKETBALL 🏀

We're excited to announce that Dakota "Dak" Dearborn is joining Maine Thunder and NLA Basketball as our Director of Boys Basketball.

Dak has been a staple and a leader within NLA. He's an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Southern Maine, where he also played, and he's the head coach at Gorham High School.

What sold us wasn't just the basketball IQ. It was the organization — every minute of his practice has a purpose — the way he teaches, and the way he coaches young men, not just players.

Dak joins Ed Silva (Head Men's Basketball Coach, UNE) and Abi Davids (Director of Firecrackers & Thunder Basketball, Assistant Girls Basketball Coach, UNE). Together they'll be building out a staff to match.

What this means for our families: our boys are getting more. The year-round development, training, clinics, and college connections that have made our Firecrackers program what it is are coming to the boys side. Structure. Accountability. Practices with a purpose. And building the human before the hooper.

Thunder and NLA remain right here in S**o — same programs, same teams, same standard.

A sincere thank you to John Morgan, who gave a lot of himself to this program. Our families felt it. We wish him nothing but success ahead.

Meet the Director: Caitlin Tremberth

Leading our program is Caitlin Tremberth, a cornerstone of Maine field hockey. Entering her 13th year at the helm of Biddeford Field Hockey, Coach Tremberth’s resume speaks for itself:

We are excited to share an incredible opportunity for our players to keep the momentum going this summer! FAMon3 Basketball will be participating in the Southern Maine Hoops League (SMHL) Summer League – and we want YOUR player involved!

LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS:

✅ 8 Regular Season Games + Playoffs (2 games per night)

These sessions are designed to keep your player sharp, focused, and developing all summer long.

TEAM BUILDING:

Because of summer schedules, vacations, and conflicts, we will be building teams with 8–10 players per team. You are welcome to make requests when registering! We will also be looking for help with coaching – if you're interested in assisting, please let us know.

Summer league has always been one of the most fun parts of our year – a chance for players to keep competing together in a relaxed, positive environment. We hope to see as many of our Firecracker, Thunder, and NLA players as possible!
