Two nights of racing at Delta Speedway and some seriously tough competition for Haven and the #12!

Saturday brought a 26-car Restricted field. Haven qualified 11th with an 11.182, with just hundredths of a second separating several positions. She started on the pole of her heat and finished 3rd, putting us 11th for the A-Main.

Unfortunately, things got interesting immediately. Haven was caught up in a lap-one crash, bending the nerf bar back into the right-rear tire and dropping her all the way to 20th. Despite the damage, she stayed in it and battled her way back to a 12th-place finish. Not the night we wanted, but a solid recovery after getting knocked to the back on lap one.

Sunday we came back with 28 Restricted cars and another extremely competitive qualifying session. Haven qualified 10th with an 11.143, only 0.179 seconds off quick time. Just 0.106 seconds separated 3rd through 10th!

Haven followed that up by starting on the pole and WINNING her heat race! 🏁
That put us 10th in the 25-lap A-Main. Haven stayed around the top 10 all race, moved into 9th on lap 20, and held it through the checkered for a P9 finish.
A weekend with some adversity, good speed, a heat race win, and plenty learned against two strong fields. We'll keep working and come back ready for the next one!

We were back in the micro this weekend. After some really poor weekends, we managed to put together a solid night at Delta Speedway.

Qualified: P4 out of 24
Heat: P3 ⬇️ P4
Main: P4 ⬇️ P6

Although we dropped positions, we werent fighting for last place like we have been. Hopefully getting back into a rhythm again!
