⚾️🏆 Baseball Strong Summer Camp – Week 1 Complete! 🏆⚾️

What an incredible start to our summer! This week was about so much more than baseball. We worked on the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, fielding, speed, agility, strength, and athletic movement, but most importantly, we focused on building confidence, character, and a winning mindset.

I’m grateful for every player who showed up ready to learn, compete, and encourage their teammates. We had athletes of all ages working together, pushing each other to improve, and learning that success comes from effort, attitude, and consistency.

At Baseball Strong, our mission is simple:

We want players to develop not only as athletes, but as young men and women who learn discipline, accountability, resilience, and teamwork.

A huge thank you to all the parents for trusting us with your athletes and to everyone who helped make this camp a success. Watching these players grow throughout the week was a blessing.

Jalal Donnell "Leachy" Leach – Former MLB Outfielder & Pro Scout

0-0MLB Career (2001): A Bay Area native, Jalal Leach debuted with the San Francisco Giants on September 5, 2001, after being drafted in the 7th round by the Yankees in 1990. Over eight games, he recorded 10 at‑bats, drew two walks, and notched one RBI on a single off Octavio Dotel on September 19  .

Minor League Achievements: A seasoned minor leaguer from 1990 to 2004, Leach slashed .290/.346/.792 across 4,818 plate appearances, hitting 127 home runs and 216 RBIs. He ranked among franchise leaders at Fresno in extra‑base hits—top 10 in homers, triples, doubles, and RBI—earning a reputation as "farm‑grown" .

Scouting Credentials: After retiring, he joined scouting departments at the Yankees and later returned to the Giants as a professional scout, putting his deep baseball acumen to work .
