Sport Shorts: Monday, August 17th

Thank you to those who came out and supported our Clash at the Nest on Friday night. It was a huge success and a great night to bring the PG community together!

This week is the "calm before the storm!” Our Fall Sports are getting ready for games starting next week with intense practices and scrimmages.

Our first official game is this week, however, when the Back-to-Back Delta League Champs Flag Football team takes on the Grant Pacers here at Home on Thursday at 6pm. Come check them out and kick this fall sports season off right!

In case you all DIDN’T know, our Delta League Champion (Men and Women, Varsity and Frosh/Soph) Track & Field Team produced a number of amazing athletes.

Noteworthy among them is just graduated, University of Montana-bound Sophia Forst. Not only did she break her own School Record in the Pole Vault (with an otherworldly leap or 13’ 1”), she just WON the competition in the CA Stare Meet! (She finished 3rd last year.)

Now, SI.com thinks she’s a candidate for California Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
