“Continue to push against everything that is the opposite of love.”
-Lebron James after winning his 4th NBA Title
One of my favorite things about Lebron James is how he uses his massive platform to build up youth, fight against voter suppression, and to fight against social injustice. His life is a massive reminder that we all have a voice and we all have our own platforms. It was an incredible honor to take photos at the most recent run (socially-distanced with masks) for . Thanks to and for putting this all together. Shoutout to for leading us throughout this journey and empowering us to be better allies and to use our voice to vote. Shoutout to the rest of the beautiful people that I had the opportunity of meeting, especially the parents that brought their kids out with them to show them what it looks like to fight for equality and to use their voice for change. You all are champions 🏆 @ San Francisco, California

What are your values?
My friend was texting me during this NBA Finals game talking that talk because he thought his team, the Heat, were going to come on top. I chose not to respond because I knew this was the Lakers game, but also because I value friendships hahaha. Your values will guide you and it is equally important that you allow them to. Jay Shetty lists a great exercise for defining your values when you think of your top 3 best and worst choices and ask yourself why you made those.
When it comes to clothing, my number one value is sustainability. That is why I chose to become a ambassador. Their clothes are from sustainable manufacturing facilities that are even audited by the worldwide responsible accredited production, or WRAP (not to be confused with WAP). I also value a strong mission. Every purchase supports men’s mental health. Growing up, I use to value strength and power which showed up in the way that I trained. However, now I really value excellence and trying to be excellent at everything that I do. The logo is two swords together, but the name stands for “weapon”. The name points toward being extremely skillful, strong or dominant in the field. So shoutout to the Aussie fam! Appreciate you all!

At the end of the day, it is people who will bring you where you need to be.
Grateful to have been able to shoot with the homie last week. It was my first time shooting at Baker Beach, which is the favorite beach of so many San Franciscans. I was pumped to finally go there and check it out. For the past few weeks I have been practicing my yoga with and one of the moves we had been working on was the Crow Pose. The whole time I was trying to get this down, I kept hearing Brandi’s voice in my head to straighten out my arms and I tried lol. Even though, I could not quite get it, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to practice yoga with Brandi and too! Can’t wait to take Cordi’s Saturday morning class again soon.
I think we are all trying to grow in our own ways, but I truly believe the best way to grow is by learning from the people around you. One of the people that I learn from is Billy from . He always knows how to redirect me with navigating my fitness career and making the most out of my life + business. The people in your life are going to be the ones that will help you continue to reach new levels in your life. So if you wanna get on a , it is the people that will take you there’s.

Stay Steady Dreaming
I had such a special moment the other day as I was taking photos with my friend, . I saw this kid by himself with his cell phone and his camera and he was climbing these rocks to grab a photo of the perfect sunset. It really made me remember those days when I would go out and chase sunsets to capture a beautiful photo. Then this morning Facebook reminded me that 5 years ago, I took one of my first night shots at the Golden Gate Bridge. Actually it was almost at the same exact location just a little bit later in the day. Time flies int his life and a huge fear of mine is that I do not soak up all of these experiences that life has to offer. Don’t stop practicing your skills. Don’t stop experiencing life (even though we are in a pandemic). Don’t stop going after the dreams that you have on your heart. ✌🏽❤️ @ San Francisco, California

(It’s not) CHAMPIONSHIP OR BUST
I love the fact that sports are back. Honestly I wish I was into more sports, but basketball has been my number one sport to follow my whole entire life. The Lakers are finally back in the finals and I am so stoked to see if we can win a championship to tie the Boston Celtics for most championships ever. One of the best things about being a Lakers fan is that you have so much confidence that the squad will work towards greatness. It is just expected, but that can always be so incredibly stressful. I think Lakers fans are spoiled and it seems like every year we have a good team, the mindset is championship or bust. We get so caught up with that idea, so if we lose in the finals that was a failed season.
I started listening to a new book by Jay Shetty and it is called “Think Like a Monk” and one thing that he talked about was detaching. So much of our fears come from being attached to an idea. I noticed before when I was in college with my first romantic relationships, I would have fears that I would lose my girlfriend at the time because I was so attached to the idea that she was mine. But now, I realize that people should never be my possession. And if someone wanted to leave me then that is their choice, but that does not mean that I am unworthy of being with someone. Our anxieties are rooted in our attachments to things. I am attached to the Lakers winning the championship, but if they don’t it would wreck me. That is why I need to detach from that idea so if they win that is great, but if they don’t then life goes on. Is there anything in your life that you need to detach from? Maybe it is something that is causing you stress, anxiety, or fear. Learn to detach so something cannot take a piece of you. Learn to detach so that you can find peace.

NEW BLOGS on Intermittent Fasting
One of my favorite parts about being a coach is seeing my clients GLOW UP! My dude absolutely has been crushing it the past few months. He lost 26 lbs and counting, while also dropping two shirt sizes. To say I am proud is an absolute understatement. The funny part about his weight loss is that a lot of it did not actually come from us exercising together, we took a few months off. His weight loss actually came mostly from intermittent fasting, which he is still doing at this time. Another one of my clients, Gus, has been killing it and dropped around 9 lbs in two weeks through intermittent fasting. Paolo said that he is not only seeing the change in his body, but is noticing that he is having even more energy in this time. So happy to see this dude thrive! I wrote two new blogs: “Why fasting?” and another one called “Probably, Maybe Why it Works” to explain how IF works in the body. Check it out and show my client some love!

“Don’t view yourself from the lens of a moment. View yourself from the lens of a lifetime”
Tom Bilyeau
Hey,, let’s face it we all have our own fears. These fears can hold us back from our future and really seeing what we are capable of, but there are also so many other negative side-effects. Our fears can prevent us from building the future that we want for ourselves, our partner’s and our families. What is worst than having fears about what might happen is when those fears actually come true. We might have a fear of failing and sometimes we might actually fail. Even though it might look like a failure from the outside, there is no failure on the inside because those experiences will make you stronger, more fearless, and even more capable.
Be proud of yourself when you step out and take a leap of faith because even if the jump is small, you are still moving forward. At the end of your life, those hops forward no matter how big or small are surely going to take you places. Just keep jumping and trusting in God, the universe, or whatever else you might believe in.

Eyes Closed, I am in my zone.
For a guy who has his shirt off in almost everyone Instagram video, I can be pretty self-conscious. When I take yoga classes, I find my eyes and mind wandering and I can really struggle with being presen tin the moment. I can then start worrying about other people watching me or if I am doing the correct movement. When I get to that point I close my eyes, take a few breathes, and really start to re-center myself. I noticed that I can really get into a better flow and focus on what I should focus on.
I noticed that so many times in my life I can get worried about what people think of me. I know that I need to do a better job of closing my eyes, taking a few deep breathes, and blocking out everything that is not serving me. I really loved this quote that I heard in ‘s new book “Think Like A Monk”. It was originally by Thich Nhat Hahn: “Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything - anger, anxiety, or possessions - we cannot be free.” When I close my eyes in these classes it is so I can let go of the anxiety that I am holding onto. How can you practice letting go in your own life? You can start with small actions like closing your eyes in class, but move on to bigger things like letting go of resentment for yourself or others.

I mean it when I say that Brennan is one of the best guys that I know. We have only been working together for a few months, but I am incredibly grateful for his friendship and just the opportunity to view the way that he lives his life. I once heard a quote about being careful around passionate people because there is a chance they are going to light you up when their passion rubs off on you. I know that I am the trainer/coach, but I also get so inspired being around this guy and to see what he has accomplished.
He has lost around 30+ lbs and it seems like he is getting more ripped every single session, but I have also been seeing him grow in many other ways outside of the physical realm. We are constantly talking about new books, new podcasts, and also just checking in. Blessed to have him as a client and friend. Peep the newest client conversation with . Appreciate you my dude ✌🏽❤️
