Tonight, we concluded an exceptional weekend surrounded by cherished friends and former teammates from Palmdale High School.

The bond we share with our alma mater runs deep, and it was truly an honor to reconnect with some of the finest Falcons in our school's history.

The countdown is on to next seasons gathering which will happen the week PHS plays AVHS. Hit up your Antelope friends and please spread the word far and wide!

Coach Mapson clinches victory at the inaugural PHS Baseball Alumni Golf Classic!

John Sidwell’s impressive six pars on the front nine put him in the lead initially. However, as the AV winds intensified, Coach Mapson skillfully adjusted, keeping his shots low and straight, securing the win.

Special thanks to all who came out and special thanks to Desert Aire Golf Course for hosting us!

Fantastic day at the ballpark and the Falcons got the Win!

I truly can’t thank those who turned out enough for making the effort. Legends! To those who couldn’t make it, we get it life happens. Hope to see you tomorrow.

Golf moved to 9am in case you didn’t get word today and dinner at El Toreo West still on for 6pm.

My absolute apologies to those who showed up at PHS to find the field empty. Apparently the PHS field had flooded and they had to move the game.

FRIDAY 4/12 3PM Palmdale High School Baseball Field! Falcons of all generations please come out and support the team and meet the legendary Palmdale Falcons Baseball of 1979!

While this is billed as a reunion to honor the 1979 CIF Semi-Finals team, we would like everybody to know that these activities are open to all friends of the PHS baseball program, both past and present.

The events are loosely organized and also honor three pillars of the Antelope Valley which have withstood time: Our beloved Palmdale High School, Desert Aire Golf Course, and El Toreo Mexican Restaurant.

We will be catching up as well as remembering and honoring those who are no longer with us by telling their stories and keeping the legends alive.

Please spread the word far and wide as we hope to build this into an annual event for former Falcons to gather and support the program while reminiscing about the glory days gone by.

For the very adventurous there is an OG Afroman concert 4/11 at Transplant Brewing. See you there?

You can reach out to me or the co-hosts Susie Kutcher James Culver or Will Fleet.

Best regards,

Calling all Falcons the week has arrived to reunite!

Saturday 4/13 Golf @ Desert Air 8am. I honestly have no idea how many, or even who is playing. We do hope to get at least a few groups to join us for 18 so we can call it a tourney lol. Golf will be followed by lunch and a few cold drinks in the clubhouse around noon!

Saturday 4/13 dinner at El Toreo. Grab a table with friends or family and mingle. See you in the bar about 530 to seat around 6pm.

To the amazing folks who have been helping with this I can’t thank you enough. My cell is 916-582-7401 if anybody has questions.

Share share and please share. Hope to see many of you there!

As the big event approaches, I've been asked one question more than any other: "Will your Dad be there?" Well, I'm thrilled to confirm that the answer is an enthusiastic YES!

This event holds a special significance for me, and it all started with witnessing the impact of loss on my Dad after losing two of his star players over the past couple of years. It got me thinking about the power of connection and nostalgia. And thus, the idea was born to bring together the incredible team from the 1979 Falcon CIF Semi Final squad.

Please join Coach Mapson for a celebration of friendship and the enduring spirit of Palmdale Falcons baseball!

Friday 4/12 PHS vs Eastside @ Palmdale High 3pm

Saturday 4/13 Who wants to play golf? Teeing off 8am @ Desert Air! Please respond if you would like to golf with coach!

Saturday 4/13 12 Noon gather at the gold course for lunch and story time (all invited bring families!)

Saturday 4/13 6PM Dinner @ El Toreo (all invited)

What began as a simple reunion has evolved into a cross-generational PHS Falcon baseball gathering. While this is new and will most likely start small, the plan is to make it annual and talks are already ongoing for a rivalry reunion with AVHS during the week the Falcons and Antelopes meet (2025 season). All events are loosely organized and all suggestions and help welcome!

Thanks, I hope to see you there.
