The last couple of days have been incredible. Staying with Susie and Nora in Breckenridge and then today riding over to Edward’s via Vail. The scenery was epic as was the bike trail! Andrew Sweeney our savior van driver met us for lunch with yummies and then made an incredible dinner ! Thanks Andrew!!

We made our way to Bird City, KS today. It was a hot but beautiful day on the bike with temps on the bike at 106… so real temp was probably 100ish.
We are staying at an old hotel (like S***z Creek) that a young guy is restoring and bringing back to life. I highly recommend it as he has gone out of his way to welcome us! It’s called the Bird City Rv Park.
Last night we stayed in a camp ground in Oberlin, KS. They had a middle school through high school summer bash. It was a lot of fun watching the 25-40? Kids playing slip n slide kickball, and doing fun things. Everyone was well mannered and really into just having a good time.
The bottom bracket on Tank is making noise and we hope he can limp into Denver in a couple days.

Some pics of our Iowa days thus far…. It’s been GREAT!!
Yesterday I drove and today I rode … with a tail wind… and hit an average of 12 mph! It was nice to zip along…

Made it Muscatine, IA…
Four things happened today …
1) I saw my first bad eagle in the wild!!
2) I had to eat lunch in a bar (if you know me…. I’m a sober alcoholic.). I made it out sober !!
3) I crossed my 200th bridge today and two of the hose were whoppers !
4) We crossed over into IOWA!!
Now to celebrate the 200 bridges …. Imagine if we could get 200 people to donate $10 bucks!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME !!
