2 homes games so far, and we've had surprise alumni attendees from '95 to '16, including Teandre Cooksie, Jessie Rosales, Brandon Rowden, JT Roberts, Domo Cameron, Aaron Haynes, and Dennis Weaver. It always brings a smile, as I appreciate the connections they feel for this place.

Fun stats after the first week (and just one game for us):
Leo is third in the state in points per game.
Andrew is 8th in the state in points per game, tied for 4th in assists per game, and is number one in assist/turnover ration (0 turnovers). Chris and Khyri are tied for 25th in points per game, with Khyri 10th in FG percentage. Pretty sure this will be our statistical peak. :-) :-) :-)

The Panthers competed in 4 games at the American River Jamboree, completing the weekend with a come-from-behind win in which they tied the game with 2 seconds left and won on its first possession of the sudden death overtime period. Eight freshmen experienced their first community college competition, and 3 sophomores played in the jamboree for the first time.

Sac City will host the Solano Falcons in the season opener on Saturday, November 5, at 3pm in the North Gym.

The official roster will be posted on October 1.

Sac City got our 20th win tonight, an 88-82 comeback over Folsom Lake. Ryan Reed had 28 (including 4 threes). Terry Moody added 19 (14 in the second half). Tim Strijaous scored 12 of his 14 in the first half (and had 14 rebounds). Q Gantt scored 10 of his 12 in the second half, including 3 FT in the last 10 seconds to ice the game. It was a true team effort.

As usual, it was a great sophomore night. Love seeing all of the people come out to receive credit for helping these young men. And we got the win to move to 19-8 with one game to play before playoffs.
