Sacto Fastpitch

Hey Everyone, As we approach the Fall of 2022 we're working again on our effort to build a women's recreational fastpitch softball league in Sacramento, where currently there is none (only slow pitch leagues currently exist). We hope to find enough interested players to have at least some fun afternoon/evening practice workouts soon.

Once we find a few pitchers and enough players for at least two teams, we plan to schedule some actual games.

If you know anyone who played in high school or college, or who plays slow pitch but wants to step up to the fastpitch level, please share this post...we are working hard to spread the word:)

GREAT SECOND SCRIMMAGE OF 2015 FOR SACRAMENTO FASTPITCH

Sunday May 17th we had our second Sacramento Fastpitch event of 2015. We had a great turnout, and thanks to everyone who attended. The scrimmage was action packed and a lot of fun, and my going to the Scandia batting cages last week for their 60mph cage really helped, as I was excited to go 2 for 3 in today's game with a double.

It was great to have Taryn with us for the first time, a very talented pitcher who did a fantastic job on the mound, as well as several other new faces who joined us as well! Though we are all a bit rusty, there were a lot of good plays and some great hitting throughout the game by everyone.

Next scrimmage is WEDNESDAY MAY 27th at 5:30pm.

Also, we are excited to now have two other teams from two other towns that now want to scrimmage with us. There is a ladies fastpitch team in Oroville that is asking to scrimmage us on Sunday June 7th (first Sunday in June), and there is a high school coach who is putting together a young team from the town of "Cool" to enter our league and play regularly.

It's GREAT and exciting to see this progress with our efforts to build women's recreational fastpitch in the Greater Sacramento area with Sacramento Fastpitch. HELP US SPREAD THE WORD if you know any Sacramento area ladies who played ball in high school or college:)

We are Sacramento Fastpitch, an adult women's recreational fastpitch softball league slowly building in Sacramento. We're gearing up for our 2015 season, trying to build our membership. We especially need a couple more experienced pitchers. We practice in Rancho Cordova, and if you or someone you know would like to join us, just respond to this post and we'll contact you right away with more information.

This is a brand new Facebook Group created for our ongoing effort to keep recreational women's fastpitch softball a reality in Sacramento. Today Sacto Fastpitch began our Spring Training for our Spring Season with a very fun and action packed scrimmage game at Tahoe Park. We are looking for two more teams at present to have enough for our upcoming season at Sacramento Softball Complex.
