This is a good watch. People like George Lewellen need to invest a half an hour and watch this rather than espouse their BS.

We had a great year, learned a lot and will make a few subtle changes over the winter. She will be a little more evil and consistent. Special thanks to my supporters, sponsors, crew and especially my son Aaron Wardell-Driver.

Another great NDRL championship racing season.

2nd race, Bowling Green, Ky. June 15th - 17th. Having fixed our electrical problem caused by the neutral safety switch and corrected our tire shake issue, we're ready. It seems our old rear Goodyear tires, always liked 5.5 lbs. air pressure. Our new Hoosiers did not like the 5.5 lbs. at all, hence the tire shake. A little research and talking with a couple fellow races who told me to start with at least 8 lbs. the car loved it. We failed tech due to our chassis certification, being a top fuel certification was expired. We had to dismantle the car and get everything inspected and recertified, mission accomplished after a five-hour ordeal. Now with 4500 ft corrected altitude and 108- degree temperature, Aaron goes 6.982 @195 mph with no issues. Our second qualifier being delayed due to track clean up and the terrible weather, we elect to go to the hotel, get some dinner, relax and have an adult beverage. Saturday morning and the weather is better, we service the car, pack the parachutes and get ready for or last qualifying attempt. At 3320 ft corrected altitude and 97-degree temperature we have to be careful not to run too quick. Aaron goes 7.013 et @ 189 mph getting off the throttle approaching the finish line, we're now number 5 on the qualifying ladder, going from being on the very bottom for going too fast, to almost number 1, we'll take our number 5 position. Our first round at around 2 pm. 3547 ft corrected altitude and 104 degrees, Aaron gets treed on the starting line and chases down his opponent and it's so close at the finish line you can't tell who won except for the win light which comes on in our opponent's lane. Great race, we just came up short. Aaron ran another 6.975 et @ 195 mph. We're happy, got a real hot rod finally, evil, wicked, mean and nasty! Time to tweak a few things to slow her down a bit and get the 7.0 combination dialed in for constancy needed to win these races. At our first race in Indy, we were voted best engineered car of the event, all in all, we're happy with our new mistress. Norwalk, Ohio, is our next race the end of next month. See if we can't hurt some feelings.
