With so many issues surrounding us in our day-to-day lives today, it’s important to keep JOY at the forefront.
Hopefully, most of your days are easily joy-filled.
But there are days when we have to consciously strive for joy— making a bonafide effort on the rough days!
On those tougher days (we all have 'em), here’s what to do to get your joy back, fast!:
Rise above the stressor that's been tossed your way: Pause, Breathe, and Take Your Time deciding if/how to respond.
In the meanwhile, find something that's going to change your state of mind.
For me, that’s always been dance. It’s no longer a rough day after dancing.
To soothe your mood:
Ask Alexa to play your favorite music (or press play on your favorite device!)
Move your body as you see fit until you feel differently
Go back and tackle the issue at hand, refreshed with a new, more positive perspective!
Dance has been proven to improve mood and well-being and I invite you to maintain your JOY through dance!
