Anything can truly be taken away in a moment. Appreciate everything small thing because this world is unfair, and being a follower of Jesus means there is a target on your back.

when you're in a pain flare
and nothing is working.
Slow your breathing down.
Longer exhale than inhale.
Even just five breaths.
Get warm.
Heat tells your nervous system
it is safe.
Epsom salt bath.
Heating pad.
Warm tea.
Whatever you have.
Put your phone down.
Doom scrolling amplifies pain.
Your nervous system
