Biohack Your Way to Better Health 12/04/2018

I talk about the things I do to stay fit and healthy all the time with my clients, family and friends, because I want them to feel as good as I do! I can't help but share what I've done to help me feel SOOOO GOOD these days! So, I thought I'd share here.

First, I currently follow the Keto diet and have just begun incorporating "carb-loading" to help me maintain my weight, as I don't need to lose anymore, but I want to maintain my muscle mass--which I can see now! And so can others. I get comments often on "my muscles." My 35-year old son was "so impressed"! (haha!)

Beyond that, here's what I do to maintain and FEEL EVEN BETTER ALL OVER, and help further alleviate achy muscles, etc.

I do 10-20 minutes in the Joovv red light therapy, which I KNOW helps to alleviate my osteoarthritis pain and resolves skin issues (as does DMSO and comfrey, which is controversial, but works for me). I spend about 20 minutes sweating in my red light SaunaSpace (feels sooooo good), 15 minutes cycling with the LiveO2 (helps me breathe better and gives me even MORE energy), 5 minutes on the Teter (helps with flexibility (and mobility)), and I take "supplements" that are not necessarily mainstream, i.e., a good multivitamin, magnesium, Bosmeric, bitters, and colloidial silver (great for immune system)! I also foam roll, which for me also helps alleviate any specific tightness/pain especially in my hips when I over do it in the garden or exercising, and it eliminates restless leg that I get occasionally at night.

I don't do all these things on a daily basis, although I do try to do at least the Joovv and LiveO2 every other day during the week. I know what works and what I need to do, and when. When I don't, I can tell. And when I do, I feel sooo much better afterwards.

I am not proposing or recommending any specific product, or even that you do any or all these things. I would encourage you,, however, that if you are overweight, feeling overwhelmed with depression, stress, or pain, you have no energy, have aching joints, muscles, indigestion, back pain, arthritis, or other health complaints, at least check out the KETO or PALEO "diet" and give it a full-hearted try for 2 weeks, and see if you don't start feeling better...ALL OVER! I did.

And BOY AM I GLAD THAT I DID! Because I was experiencing all the things I just listed above, before starting PALEO about five years ago. The journey has been an interesting one, but so beneficial. Do i still suffer with aches and pains, indigestion, etc.? Sometimes. Because, yes. I "fall off the wagon" all the time. But I'm getting better. I know what causes me pain and not feeling my best. Sometimes it's worth it. Sometimes it's not. But either way, I know what works for me. And it starts with the diet...and the exercise...and the supplements (bitters is GREAT for food and drink "hangovers." And if I've overdone it at the gym or in the garden, Joov, sauna, teter...etc.

If you're interested in feeling better, do your own research on some of the things I've listed above, and decide whether or not any of these things might be of benefit to you, and if it would be right for you. Of course, I must say, please check with your doctor before deciding to incorporate any of these things into your daily habits, to ensure they do not disrupt any medications or increase any health and/or safety risks. The information I provided are to introduce you to potential options that may be of benefit to you. The company names I've listed are those that we purchased from and the products I believe in, as they have been very beneficial for me and my husband. But, they are for informational purposes only, and you should not make decisions based solely on my "testimony," as what works for me may not work for you or be of benefit to you.

With that said, I encourage you to check them out and consider what might work.

It's a lot of info, but here's my overall recommendation. START SOMEWHERE! Change your habits. If you're overweight, feeling overwhelmed with depression, stress, or pain, you have no energy, have aching joints, muscles, indigestion, back pain, arthritis, or other health complaints, at least check out the KETO or PALEO "diet" and give it a full-hearted try for 2 weeks, and see if you don't start feeling better...ALL OVER! And let me know!

Changing to Paleo was the easiest thing to do and started this journey for me. I began more than five years ago, and now, WOW! I feel younger than I've ever felt before. Literally! I don't feel that I'm growing older, I'm the youngest me that I've ever felt! I'm (almost) 61 and feel like I can do ANYTHING! OK. I can over do it. And I do. But that's when I rub on the DMSO and comfrey, go do my red light, foam roll, Live O2, or sauna. Awwwwwww....then I feel all better. Hope you will too!
