Sierra Nevada Wolves

Congrats to Ty Silva on his commitment to Sierra College. Another former Wolf and Coach Silva’s boy getting the chance to compete after high school. Like I tell every kid that leaves the Wolves and goes to the next level, “You belong there, act like it and believe in yourself.”

Wolves 14u Purple clinched the Regular Season Title in the inaugural South Placer Spring League. The boys will be the 1 seed for the playoffs.

14u Gold clinched the 3 seed. Both teams are revving up at the right time and could make for a Wolves v Wolves Semi or Final showdown.

Last weekend saw some great baseball from the Wolves.

13u Purple went a perfect 5-0 to win the TPR event down in Mistlin. Offense came alive and pitching/defense was sharp as always.

14u Purple were in Woodland. Boys were the 1 seed after Saturday and got to the championship before losing to a really quality Wheelhouse group. Boys went 4-1 on the weekend.

11u Gold were in Elk Grove for the NCS event. They went 2-0 on Saturday to get the 1 seed and lost a tough one on Sunday in a high scoring game that went into extras.

14u Gold was in Turlock/Modesto in the TPR event. Landed in the Gold bracket and got a revenge game against Altamont Red taking care of business. Then they ran into a buzz saw in NC Valley in the semis.

13u Gold were in Woodland as well. They went 1-1 on Saturday and got the top seed in the Silver bracket. Boys played hard and had the lead but lost a tough one to Solano Storm.

12u Wolves were up in Sutter at the North Valley invitational. Had a tough Saturday going 0-2 but bounced back to win 2 games on Sunday to right the ship.

The last 3 weekends have been really good for the Wolves.

Our 14u Purple team took home the championship at the TPR tournament down in Modesto. The boys went 4-0. Our 11u Purple took home the championship at an amazing event held by the Laguna Thunder. 5 Majors team were in it and our boys came out on top.

14u Gold took home the championship at NCS a couple weeks ago

Our 13u Purple went to back to back championship games coming up just short in both.

10u Wolves took home the Silver Bracket championship a couple weekends ago.

12u Wolves went to a championship game a couple weekends ago as well.

March was good to the Wolves as the program went 61-36. Tons of games and tons of reps.

Arizona ended in style. Purple team got to the championship game of the Gold bracket and lost a tough one 6-3 to finish 5-1 and 2nd place!! Gold team ran the table today and won the silver bracket going 3-2 on the weekend! Great weekend of ball from the boys and something to really build on.

Pictures like this remind us why we do what we do. A couple of our 10u players (Joey Lazarus and Harvey Faubion) ran into some of our old Wolves in high school (Ethan Sharaky, DJ Mosley, Brody Sells, JC Peterson and Ryan Miller) and they swapped battle stories at Chipotle. Just an amazing brotherhood of players. As Dwayne Sr would say “WOLVES IS HERE!”

Wolves Purple had their 1st game in AZ and had a strong showing winning 12-2. Plus look at that beautiful sunset.
