I know this is late, but lots people on US side were tripping about this post, while this is a speculation, but:
This statement came out prior to AMC hosting their event, where they are allowing disqualified athletes to compete, which is not a proper rule in any sports.
Nothing really changed after this post in US side, but AMC did had major drop in top athletes participation(AMC doesnt want to be regulated by WAF)
