I was CONVINCED I just needed the right method to be more efficient and finally fit in with all the other successful, seemingly happy moms.
I never paused to consider… maybe I didn’t need or even want to be more productive. 🫠
When I got my ADHD diagnosis, I started questioning everything. If I’d been masking for so long, who was I really? What did I actually want? Was I happy or just going through the motions? Was this exhaustion forever? 😵💫
Slowly, I gave myself permission to be the most real version of me. It wasn’t easy. Our culture conditioned me to believe I needed to be a certain way.
But as I peeled the layers back, it clicked: I didn’t need more discipline or more doing. I needed to work within my actual capacity, make fewer decisions, and do less so I had space to find myself again. ✨
I learned how ADHD moms struggle with executive functioning—and how to do less of it.
Here’s what helped me the most:
• Lowering my (sometimes insane) expectations and choosing just a few big priorities each week.
• Accepting low‑capacity days or weeks as part of the plan, then getting back on track without quitting.
• Prepping when my energy is high. My brain is offline in the morning, so breakfast, clothes, bags—everything—happens the night before.
• Letting rest refuel me, including less common forms like creative downtime or time with friends.
If you feel like you don’t even know who you are, you feel guilty enjoying life because there’s always so much to do, and you need permission to lean into your true self…
I made a free Clarity Guide for you. It’ll help you automate the basics, remove mental load, and create space for self‑discovery. Comment “clarity” and I’ll send it. 💌
Save this for the days you think you need to do more—when what you really need is fewer decisions.
