We want everyone to know what to do in the event of cardiac arrest. CALL 911 and push hard and fast!

Lake Area Heart Safe Communities is a joint initiative to increase sudden cardiac arrest survival with in the communities of White Bear Lake, Hugo, White Bear Township, Gem Lake, Birchwood and Mahtomedi through CPR and AED awareness training.

On this day in 2012 Lake Area Heart Safe and it’s community partners earned state heartsafe destination for Wbl, Wbt, Hugo, Mahtomedi and Gem Lake then later added Birchwood. Happy Valentine’s day! learn CPR

Good job White Bear Lake Professional Firefighters!

This past weekend, September 14th, 2024, FF/Paramedic Wheelock, FF/EMT Satnik, and Fire Explorer Koskela assisted in delivering a baby boy in the ambulance while enroute to the hospital. Upon returning to the service area, the crew was dispatched to a cardiac arrest and provided Advanced Life Support care which resulted in a full resuscitation.
We are extremely proud of the crew and the care and dedication they continuously provide to our citizens!
