Neels Family Reunion 2023 is in the books! We made it happen this past weekend and it was a blast!

Despite busy schedules and living all over the country The “Neels 6” and families (27 of us!) were able to get together at the beautiful lake home their parents created for them in 1977!

We had a wonderful time, beautiful weather and lots of fun! Mary & Bob would sure be proud ♥️ I am so grateful to be a part of this special family.

Today we celebrate our as she graduates from HS! It seems like yesterday when I watched the cutest ray of sunshine cross the stage for her preschool graduation ceremony and thought to myself ”HS graduation is a LONG ways away” …. Welp, we blinked and here we are! That same ray of sunshine graced the stage tonight and we could not be more proud of the amazing, kind, funny, resilient and caring human she is!

congratulations to all of the 2023 graduates! The future is yours!

POWER FOOD SPOTLIGHT -
PUMPKIN SEEDS! 🎃

Eating just a small amount of these nutrient packed seeds provides your body with loads of healthy fats, zinc and magnesium not to mention all of THESE health benefits.

Power food spotlight - JICAMA

Pete and I have never really ate jicama until we did our 3 week total body RESET a few weeks ago. Jicama is SO versatile and delicious!!! So I want to shine a bright light on it today!

This interesting looking food delivers so many health benefits when consumed regularly:

Here are a few tips on how you can incorporate more ginger into your diet:

Here is my favorite jicama avocado salad recipe (makes 1 serving) 🥑

1/2 medium jicama cut in small chunks
1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
1 Tbsp pure maple syrup
2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1 1/2 tsp EVOO
1/2 medium avocado cut in chunks 🥑
2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro 🌿

Combine salt, maple syrup, lime juice & olive oil in a small bowl and mix well. Combine avocado, jicama and cilantro in a medium bowl. Drizzle with dressing, toss gently to blend. Cover tightly and let marinade in refrigerator for one hour. serve and enjoy. 🤤

👉🏼👉🏼There was a time, not too long ago, when I HATED fitness, I hated exercise, I put it off everyday because it felt like a chore! Can you relate?

🤑🤑I remember spending $100+ on a monthly gym membership to mindlessly go through the motions of the elliptical. I would set the timer for 30 minutes, crank the music on my headphones, scroll through my People magazine, stare at the tv screens and pray it would be over quick! Sounds DREADFUL doesn't it?

Now I actually LOOK FORWARD to my workouts! I ENJOY them! I actually SMILE when I am doing them!😃

🤔WHAT CHANGED?

♥️I finally found something that I ENJOY! Yes, exercise CAN be fun if you find something you like! Elliptical wasn't my soul mate, the monotony of it made me bored & unmotivated. Now I have the variety of over 1500 different workouts to keep things fresh & 2 simple nutrition programs to give me the best results! (nutrition is 80% of your results).

📆 I have a PLAN, each day I know exactly what workout I will be doing, and most are only around 30 minutes! Pete and I have made a pact to exercise together most days, which makes it even more fun! 👩‍❤️‍👨

✅ I have an amazing virtual accountability group to keep me on track! It is the BEST! I cannot IMAGINE stepping foot in a gym now and having to exercise with a mask on! No thank you! I am saving money (my YEARLY at home programs cost around what I paid for a MONTH at the gym), saving time, in the best shape of my life at 47, feeling healthy from the inside out and having FUN!
