It's hard to believe its already been a week since the ! What an unforgettable weekend. I took on the trifecta. 3 events, one weekend and I'm proud of what my body and mindset were able to accomplish. 1st place -Dekafit teams with my strong partner Kristen: 4th place in DekaMile and 7th place in DekaStrong! These moments didn't come easily. I've been managing hip bursitis for over a year, and even after my 4th time at worlds, I'm reminded that there is always room to learn, adapt, and grow. helped me, smart strength training and mobility. starts Fri. and I'm so proud to be heading there for the 4th year in a row! ☺You would think it would get easier, but it doesn't the truth is, I still get nervous😳
The only real difference between me and anyone starting out is this. I am BRAVE enough to TRY, and I show up, even if it's hard. I'm not the fastest. I'm not the strongest. But I am proof that with the right training and mindset and consistency You Can achieve things you never thought possible. I did it!! 🎉 Faced my fear and completed my very first Hyrox—just in time for my 53rd birthday (but hey, age is just a number… unless it’s burpees, then it definitely counts 🤪).
The wall balls absolutely wrecked me 😅—muscles said “nope,” but my cardio was like “is that all you got?” Crossing the finish line with gas still in the tank felt pretty sweet.
Was I a little sad there was no shiny medal or free T-shirt? Yes. 🫤 Did I secretly want to strut through the airport wearing it? Also yes. But I’ll take a smooth-running, epic event as a win.
Next one? Oh, it’s happening. 💪🔥

For 4 years, I’ve watched from the sidelines, telling myself it was too hard, too much, maybe even impossible for someone like me. But the truth is—the things that scare us the most are often the ones we’re meant to chase.
So 10 weeks ago, I stopped doubting and started training. This week, I step into the challenge I’ve dreamed about but feared the most: . 🏋️♀️🏃♀️
No matter the outcome, this race represents more than fitness. It’s about proving that it’s never too late to set a big goal and go after it with everything you’ve got.

Every year, the event is my way to measure how far I’ve come on my fitness journey and to set new goals for where I’m headed. This weekend, I traveled to beautiful Boulder, Colorado to put my abilities to the test—and I’m so proud of the results!
