Just a little video on our water pressure problems onboard. Tested me more than it should have, but in the end we persevered and got it done with different pumps and a lot of sweatequity
We have our good days and then we have our great days…
Restoring our dull ‘once black’ trim around the top deck escape hatch’s.
Prepped our surface to prevent overspray. Scuffed with a scotch brite pad first and then sanded down the tough parts with 240-400 grit. 3 coats of self etching primer and 2 coats of acrylic, metal bonding paint.
Waiting to see how it holds up before we do the base plates of the hatch’s but that’ll do for a days’ work.

Foxtrot was on site to supervise the project today. We are currently refurbishing the aluminum around the hatch windows, a process that includes sanding to bare metal, applying self-etching primer, and repainting

One of the biggest accommodations we’ve made for the cats thus far! When hurricane Milton adversely put us on the boat as immediate, full time live-aboard we weren’t anywhere near ready for the consolidation that had to happen. Add 2 cats in the mix- and it was a literal s**t show at times. Alongside having to utilize every inch of this boat for storing our own crap we also had to do something about the litter box situation.
We originally had a sink in the head (bathroom for you land-folk) that we never ended up using because it was on the list for ‘needs improvement’. Well that day didn’t come before the kittens so we took out the sink, capped the plumbing, applied some of the leftover wallpaper we had and created an entrance door. We used minwax gunstock231 varnish and a semi-gloss stain as it was closest match we had in stock around us. It isn’t a perfect match but we are satisfied with it for now. If any other Pearson owners know what the original stain base is we would love to know that information for future projects!
Anyway the cats are satisfied customers, we are happy they can do their business in private again. All in good flow. As always, till next tide-
