Greetings friends!

We just wanted to let everyone know that we're working out a few kinks, but we have good news!
We're officially in a new space!

Our meetings will now be taking place every first Sunday of the month at the Morean Arts Center in downtown St. Petersburg!

We've also got the new Paper Grrrls Society group for those 17+ interested in coming to the meetings on the third Sunday of every month! (Search for the group in the search bar and request to join!)

We'll also be doing a special even in May for Free Comic Book Day (the first Saturday in May) so keep your eyes out for that!

Hey, all! We're planning to add a group for women, non-binary, and genderqueer people who are interested in learning more about and discussing comics! We've created a Facebook Group called "Paper Grrrls Society" for those interested -- if you are 17 years or older and would be interested in taking part, please search for the group and request to join! We're still working out the kinks, but we'll have more details soon!

As for the Paper Grrrls - we'll have more news for you coming real soon, too!

Patch making was a success!

The Paper Grrrls will have a table at St. Pete Zine Fest where we will have flyer and information about the club and upcoming events, as well as patches, zines, and buttons for sale. If any of the girls from the club would like to come out and sell their zines they are more than welcome to do so at our table!

Zine Fest is taking place Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 6 PM to 10 PM at Cage Brewing

Today we will be having our last meeting of 2016 at the Barbara Ponce Library from 3-5 PM. We hope to see you there and will keep you posted on our 2017 meetings and events!

Just so everyone knows the November patch making meeting has been cancelled. Our next meeting will be Saturday December 17th from from 3-5 PM at the Barbara Ponce Library.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Zine Fest! We gave out flyers for our November meeting to a few new people, so we hope to see you at our next meeting!

Just a heads up for everyone-the October meeting is now being held at Eagle Lake Park Pavilion #5 at 1800 Keene Road, Largo, FL 33771 Friday, October 14th from 5 PM to Sunset.

MegaCon Tampa Bay is coming up in October and they are looking for volunteers to help with running the convention. Since many of you go to conventions as attendees this would be a great opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes and to get an idea of what it's like to work in the industry. MegaCon takes place October 28th through 30th. The minimum age allowed for volunteers is 16. If you would like to apply just follow the link below!

Museum Day Live is this Saturday- be sure to check out some of our great local museums for free if you can!

20 local museums will be free Saturday for Free Museum Day It will be even more tempting to step out of the heat and into some culture on Saturday, when 20 museums across the bay area are offering free admission.
