👋 Hi! I’m Cecilia — the face behind Mini Mermaids Aquatics! 🧜‍♀️💜

It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself, and with so many new faces here, I thought it was time!

I’m a Certified Infant Aquatics Survival® Specialist, former elementary school teacher, lifelong swimmer, and have been teaching swim lessons for over 12 years. 💦

My favorite part of what I do? Watching little swimmers build confidence, learn life-saving skills, and have some fun along the way! 🥰

Even in the middle of summer, we practice for every season. ❄️👹

This little one is rocking a monster onesie because real-life water accidents don’t happen in swimsuits—they happen in whatever children are wearing. Heavy, bulky clothing changes how they move in the water, which is why we test these skills year-round.

Confidence in a swimsuit is great. Confidence in everyday clothing can save a life. 💜

You’re not alone! The truth is, summer swimmers are made in the off-season.

When pools are less crowded and routines become more predictable, children often make incredible progress. Starting in the fall means they’ll spend the fall and winter building confidence and life-saving skills, so they’re ready for next summer.

At Mini Mermaids Aquatics, our program is designed around 4 lessons per week for 6 weeks because repetition builds skills. Those short, consistent lessons help children develop the muscle memory needed to react if they ever find themselves in the water unexpectedly.
