West Salem Titans Baseball

On Saturday JV picked up a nice W vs. Churchill. Drew Doneth (3), Kellen East (3), Miles Becker (2), and Anthony Perez (2) had multi-hit games for the Titans. Starter Brandon Rowell went 5 IP to earn the win. Tayln Hebrard and Knox Lamma each threw an inning of relief to close out the game, with Lamma earning the save.

Big win for the Titans in a hard-fought game!

Kellen East picked up the win on the mound, throwing 4 1/3 innings, while Miles Becker shut the door with 2 2/3 innings to earn the save.

Becker also led the offense with a huge day, going 4-5 with 3 doubles, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Lincoln Ruddell added 2 hits, 1 RBI, and crossed the plate 3 times. Anthony Perez and Brandon Rowell each had 2 hits, with Rowell driving in 2. Rory Haines scored twice, while Drew Doneth chipped in a hit and a run.

Oliver McDowell, Abel Garcia, and Trever Armstrong also contributed hits in the win.

JV is back at it Saturday in Eugene for a rescheduled matchup with Churchill at 4pm.

A tough 2nd inning proved to be the difference as the Titans battled but couldn’t recover.

On the mound, Conrad Sotelo competed through 5 innings, striking out 5. Andrew Blair added an inning of relief.

Offensively, Trip Gier led the way with a 2-hit day and an RBI. Jayden Davison also drove in a run. Ryan Laro, Wyatt Williams, and Jackson Olson each added hits, while Laro and Gier swiped a base.
