Our Offseason Player Spotlight Series continues with a leader who helped establish the Kenosha Knights in their inaugural season.

Anthony Ventura | Kenosha Knights

Anthony Ventura served as the captain of the Kenosha Knights during their first season in the Colonial Hockey League, helping lead the organization as it began its journey in the league.

During the 2025-26 season, Anthony appeared in 6 games, recording 1 goal, 3 assists, and 4 points.

His hockey background includes NCAA Division III experience at Lebanon Valley College and Lake Forest College, bringing a strong level of experience and leadership to the Knights.

Anthony’s impact on hockey in the Kenosha community also extends beyond the ice. He is the Owner and President of Beyond the Edge Hockey Development, where he has trained many of the younger players on the Knights throughout their childhood. His commitment to developing the next generation of players makes his role with the Knights even more meaningful.

As a founding captain of the Knights, Anthony represents both the experience and local hockey roots that will help shape the future of the organization.

Our Offseason Player Spotlight Series continues with a goaltender who has been a familiar face in the Danville Flyers crease for the past four seasons...

Max Thurman | Danville Flyers

Max Thurman has been a consistent presence between the pipes for the Danville Flyers and is preparing to enter his fourth season with the organization.

Over his CoHL career, Max has appeared in 11 games, recording 7 wins and 4 losses while posting a .853 save percentage.

Max is looking forward to getting back on the ice for another season with the Flyers, reuniting with the team and getting back to the intensity and competition that makes the game special.

His connection to Danville hockey runs deep. Max grew up in Danville and has played his hockey there throughout his career, making his continued role with the Flyers especially meaningful.

As he enters his fourth season, Max will once again be looking to lead the Flyers from the crease and help Danville compete for another successful season.

Our Offseason Player Spotlight Series continues with a player who made an immediate impact during his first season with the Lexington Nightfall...

Dan Quartapella | Lexington Nightfall

Dan Quartapella wasted no time making his presence felt in his first season with the Nightfall. In just 4 games, Dan recorded 3 goals, 6 assists, and 9 points, averaging an impressive 2.25 points per game.

His ability to create offense and make plays has quickly made him an important part of the Nightfall lineup, and he will be a player to watch as Lexington continues to build for the upcoming season.

Dan brings a strong hockey background to the Nightfall after playing College Club Hockey at the University of Kentucky. During the 2022-23 season, Quartapella finished fourth on the University of Kentucky team with 42 points, showcasing the offensive ability that he has now brought to the Colonial Hockey League.

With his playmaking ability and scoring touch, Dan is poised to be an important offensive piece for the Lexington Nightfall moving forward.

Our Offseason Player Spotlight Series continues with the captain of the Norfolk Mallards and one of the most durable players in Colonial Hockey League history...

David Piela | Norfolk Mallards

David Piela has been a constant presence for the Norfolk Mallards and has earned the trust of his teammates as the team’s captain over the last four seasons.

Piela holds the distinction of having played the most games all-time in the Colonial Hockey League and has not missed a game over the past two seasons. His consistency, commitment, and leadership have made him a cornerstone of the Mallards organization.

Known for his physical style of play, David is also the Norfolk Mallards’ all-time leader in penalty minutes and ranks third all-time in the CoHL with 68 penalty minutes.

Before joining the Colonial Hockey League, David played junior hockey in the EHL with the New England Wolves.

Kamden Howard | Danville Flyers

Kamden Howard has been a strong presence for the Flyers throughout his Colonial Hockey League career. In 15 games, he has recorded 7 goals, 10 assists, and 17 points, proving himself to be a reliable offensive contributor.

Entering his third season with the Flyers, Kamden is expected to continue playing an important role for Danville. With his ability to come through in big moments and make plays when his team needs them, he will once again be a key player to watch this season.

Kamden’s connection to the Flyers and the Danville hockey community runs deep. He grew up playing hockey in Danville and has continued his career in the same community, now representing the Flyers in the Colonial Hockey League.

As he enters his third season with the organization, Kamden continues to be an important part of the Flyers both on the ice and in the growth of hockey in Danville.

Brendan Young | Salem Sasquatch

Brendan Young wasted no time making his presence felt in the Colonial Hockey League. In just 8 games, Young recorded 8 goals, 13 assists, and 21 points, leading the Salem Sasquatch in scoring during the 2025-26 season.

His impressive first season earned him recognition as a CoHL Second Team All-Star, establishing himself as one of the league’s top players.

Before joining the Colonial Hockey League, Brendan played NCAA Division III hockey at both SUNY Plattsburgh and Wentworth Institute of Technology, bringing a high level of experience and skill to the Sasquatch lineup.

With 21 points in just eight games during his first season, Brendan has already made a strong impression in Salem and will be a player to watch moving forward.

Our Offseason Player Spotlight Series continues with the all-time leading scorer in Colonial Hockey League history...

Danny Loughlin | Holyoke Papermen

Danny Loughlin has established himself as one of the most dominant offensive players in CoHL history. In 31 career games, Loughlin has recorded 33 goals, 34 assists, and 67 points, making him the all-time points leader in the Colonial Hockey League.

During the 2024-25 season, Danny led the league with 36 points and was named the CoHL Regular Season MVP, setting the standard for offensive excellence.

Before joining the Papermen, Danny played college hockey at Westfield State, where he served as team captain, followed by a season in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL).
