This year was a ride. Ups and downs, wins and losses, smiles and a few tears, but more than anything, GROWTH. The goal was never just trophies. The goal was to plant seeds. To build passion strong enough to withstand life when it gets hard.
These guys are winners, not because we always came out on top, but because they learned that taking a loss doesn’t define you. We always say basketball is a game of runs, and they’ve been on a special one. I’ve never seen this group fold. Even when emotions were high and tears showed up, they wiped them off and got back in there. That’s grit. That’s resilience. That’s heart.
This team was full of life, kind spirits, competitive fire, and a brotherhood that can’t be taught. They grew physically, mentally, and emotionally, and truth be told, they made me grow as a man too. Coaching them has been a blessing!!!
As they prepare for their next journey I hope they will go in and compete with that same heart, that same determination, and that same edge, and that they will carry what they built here into every locker room they walk into. Lead with character. Lead with effort. Lead with love.

And to the families, THANK YOU. Yall were the loudest in the gym, the proudest in the building, and definitely the most fun crew!!! Thank you for riding every high and low with us. For the backup Alani’s.😂 For the little siblings sitting on the bench, leading the breakdowns, grabbing big brother water like assistant managers in training and for making me ask for extra medals because nobody was leaving without one!😂🤷🏾‍♂️ For the love, and the family vibe! Honestly, that’s what made this whole thing special.
It really does take a village to raise and grow these young men, and yall became our village!! I’m thankful for every role, every laugh, every memory!

These years fly by, but your children will always be my guys and yall my fam!!!💯

The boys went out and got some great reps yesterday as they gear up for State! Just like with love, there were ups and downs, but what made me most proud is they never gave up. They battled through it all and came home with 2nd place again! They’re learning so much this season, and it’s been a humbling experience watching them grow, not just as players, but as young men. I’m thankful for every single one of them and for the amazing support behind us!
