Don’t miss out on this one of a kind mare!!! Dolce is a 2019 unraced, big bodied, Thoroughbred mare. She was purchased as a two year old before ever going into race training and has been brought along slowly and correctly under saddle since then. She is now proficient in shoulder-in, leg yielding, side pass, turn on the haunches, turn on the forehand, flying changes, etc. She also has 90+ days of professional training over fences and is currently schooling 2’3”-2’6” with confidence.

She has a silly, goofy personality and loves her people, but she would be best suited to one person rather than a riding school situation. Under saddle she is very much a perfectionist! She knows her stuff and can become offended if her rider is very strong or incorrect with their aids. She also has short lived “mare moments” during her warm up when she’ll pin her ears. Once she’s warm, her ears are forward and the attitude is gone. For those reasons, she is best suited to an intermediate to advanced rider under a trainer. That said, she is safe!! She never offers to buck, rear, or bolt.

She is truly a lovely mare with so much potential! I’d love to see this talented girl go into a professional program at a show barn. She will be a really fun all around mare in the right situation! Located in Gilbert, AZ. Priced in the low 5 figures.

Sonora and Her Diving Horse. Calgary Stampede 1925 - The horse dived about 50 feet into a tank of water about 10 feet deep and Miss Carver stayed on the horse during all of the jump. She lost her eyesight in 1931 when her horse landed badly, but by 1932 was again diving horses. She retired in 1942 and died in 2003 at the age of 99.
