The boards are made from cedar and maple plywood. The cedar frame is routed out half an inch so the maple plywood sits in the frame. The frame has quarter inch finger joints on the corners. The entire set was glued and jointed no screws were used, even the legs have an inch and quarter dowel inside the frame. Lastly, the boards sit on top of each other and have 4 latches so you can carry them as a set.
