I’m no rod guru but I love trying new stuff. Really enjoying this Gen IV nymph from I have a disease (gift?) where i feel compelled to mater different techniques. I avoided nymphs for a long time but it’s been fun to figure it out a bit.

Doesn’t get any better. 🙏🏼

Throw back to when I lived 15 minutes from the Rogue River in Southern Oregon. Not much need for a 13 foot Spey rod here in Northern Utah sadly. Have you ever had the chance to catch steelhead? It’s a special one for sure.

The Rod Roost. You don’t “need” it, but once you get used to having your hands and arms free while you rig a fly, release a fish, or take a photo, you’ll hate fishing without it.
