Why Gnomes?
In European folklore, gnomes are protectors of the earth’s treasures — especially precious gems and minerals. Miners once believed these small, watchful guardians brought good luck, kept watch for danger, and helped uncover hidden riches. Just like our skating community, gnomes work hard, protect what’s valuable, and celebrate the gems among us — our athletes! At this event, our gnomes are here to remind us that the real treasures aren’t just crystals and stones, but the friendships, memories, and dreams we create on the ice.
