58 guys participated in the 2021, PMGA Ryder Cup.
While fun was had by all, we had to cancel the Singles portion due to lightening and unsafe playing conditions.
Special Thanks go out to our 2021 Captains - Rick Gallagher (USA) and Sam Cooper (Euro), and their Vice Captains, Scott Callan (USA) and Jason Richey (EURO) & our event organizer Ricardo Martinez for all their help (behind the scenes) in making this event happen – Big Thanks you guys!!!
The outcome of the 2021 event was decided by the Captains and Chris Lungo, in the Spirit of the Game, and Health and Well-Being for our participants, to CALL IT A DRAW for 2021 event.
Since the Euro’s were up 2 points after the nine hole Best Ball, and nine hole Alternate Shot – it was decided the Euro’s got to enjoy the Wine & Steaks, and Team USA had Burgers and fries.

Your Club Champions – Jim Cangiano won the gross Competition shooting a 115 for 27 holes. Dave Reischman won the Net Competition shooting 105 for the 27 holes. Dave Reischman extended his lead in the overall Plateau Cup standings. Jim Cangiano was the big mover up the standings with his win. Norm Escover remains in 2nd place with Ken Falkner moving up to third supplanting Bob Smrecansky. Next up is the big Member-Guest Tournament. Sign up now for the final Major – the Ryder Cup.
PMGA - The Open
It was a fair bit warmer at the Plateau Club the Royal St. Georges in SE England for the 2021 Open Championship. While it may not be for the “golfer of the year”, 25 PMGA members took to the course for an 8:30 shotgun start.
A familiar face was back atop the Gross standings as Jim Cangiano took top honors with a 76. Joe Lipinsky was showing off his ground game with a 5 stroke victory in the Net division with a 67.
As expected, both Jim and Joe were our big movers in the overall Plateau Cup standings. Dave Reischman continues to lead but Norm Escover and Bob Smrecansky have narrowed the gap.
Up next is the Plateau Club Championship. 27 holes of pressure packed golf on a lighting fast course to determine our Club Champions.

PMGA PGA Championship - There was a tie for the low gross score – sharing honors with an 82 (yes, an 82!!!!) were Ken Falkner and Greg Sinn. It was Adam Waalkes in the net category, taking the title with an even par 72.
Ken Falkner moved into a tie for second place in the Plateau Cup standings thanks to the gross win. Dave Reischman continues to lead the standings despite falling victim to the course today. Ninety PMGA members have participated in tournaments so far. Next up is our first major – the Member Member. A solid sign up promises a great three-day tournament.

We had 40 PWGA/PMGA golf members attend our 2021 Putting Contest. We enjoyed a hot sunny day, a keg of beer & Mojitos, and great comradery between all golfers. The single elimination, match play format was held. In the end, the last golfer standing was our very own Greg Little. Second Place went to Greg Sinn, Third Place was Dave Reischman, and Fourth lace was Scot Studebaker – Congrats to our 4 PMGA Members who won some many!
