Introducing The Knickerbocker Social House!

Think of us as your second home. Fun lives here.

Our name, The Knickerbocker Social House, carries a double meaning: not only does it telegraph our social house at 2105 Knickerbocker Road in San Angelo, it gives a nod to the year 1838 and America’s first bowling alley, located beneath the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City.

At The Knick, we honor those origins by blending a New York warehouse vibe with the iconic mid-century spirit of Stadium Lanes. The result is an elevated destination to gather, play, and create lasting memories.

What happened to Stadium Lanes?
Stadium Lanes has been a cornerstone of entertainment in San Angelo for generations. Originally established with 24 lanes in 1962 and expanded to 36 lanes in the early 1970s, the center today features 20 state-of-the-art bowling lanes. Between 2024 and 2026, 16 lanes were removed to thoughtfully renovate the area to make way for a new lounge and pub games as well as make space for a new neighbor, Wandering Mind Brewery-coming soon. As of September 1, 2026, with the new pub games and bar, the new venue has become - The Knickerbocker Social House - also known as “The Knick" to reflect this expanded multi-activity experience, while the Stadium Lanes you know and love continues proudly within the complex.

What is within The Knick? A swanky new full-service bar and lounge, regulation billiards, tournament darts, golf simulators, shuffleboard, a private karaoke lounge, and new restrooms and well as 20 USBC sanctioned bowling lanes and Fleming’s Family Diner.

With bowling, pub games, and drinks, let merriment abound. Make The Knick your destination for fun, sport, play, gatherings with family and friends—or simply a place to escape, relax, and decompress. We can’t wait to see you!

Thank you, San Angelo Connection! Yes, we have a new name coming for the entire business, but The Stadium Lanes will still exist. Our foundational bowling business will always remain, with the 20 Stadium Lanes in operation since 1962. Tuesday, September 1st 2026 is the big reveal of the new name as our new sign out front goes up. It’s actually an ultra cool design- there’s nothing like it anywhere else in the world. The idea for the design came from a painting, not another business somewhere else.

We have confirmed, Stadium Lanes is in a soft-open open mode and all the new pub games are available to the public. Plus, the staff of Stadium Lanes is saying there is a name change in the works. Not even they know what it is. The announcement is September 1st, so we all will find out on Tuesday. Here’s a photo we obtained of part of the new gaming area. Nicely done!
