Through a partnership between the ABA and my nonprofit, Talias Team, we had the opportunity to engage 9th-grade students in meaningful conversations about careers in law and what’s possible with the right exposure and support.

We discussed the value of a legal education and how it opens doors far beyond the courtroom. It teaches you how to think critically, communicate with confidence, and navigate complex challenges, skills that translate into leadership, advocacy, and impact across every industry.

I am intentional about using my platform to advance my nonprofit mentorship work by creating access and visibility for young people who may not otherwise have these opportunities. Exposure changes perspective, and when we expose, we expand.

✨The Power of Representation at Career Day

Today, I had the honor of speaking at Career Day, sharing my journey as a lawyer, model, business owner, and nonprofit founder. Standing before a room full of young minds, I was reminded of how exposure sparks possibility.

When I was their age, I didn’t fully grasp the magnitude of what I could become. But imagine the impact if someone had stood before me and said, “You can be all of it. You can design a life that honors every passion within you.” That’s what I wanted these kids to hear today—you don’t have to fit into one box.

Pouring into the next generation isn’t just about giving advice; it’s about planting seeds that will grow for years to come. When they see someone who looks like them, who has faced challenges yet still succeeded, it shifts their mindset. It tells them: “If she can do it, so can I!”

Being the example is a privilege, but it’s also a responsibility. The way we carry ourselves, the way we lead, and the way we give back all shape the world these kids believe they can step into. Our words matter. Our presence matters. And when we pour into them with intention, we create a ripple effect—one that can change the trajectory of a life.

To every young dreamer I met today: Your future is limitless. You are capable. You are worthy. And one day, I hope you stand in my shoes, inspiring the next generation to believe in themselves just as I believe in you.
